Work Experience

INFINOX

HR Manager - Global February 2020 - December 2023

On joining I was given the responsibility of being in charge of full HR remits for our UK region, as well as adhoc assistance in 4 other regions - Portugal, Bahama, Nigeria and Egypt. I always applied a considered understanding of how to weigh up HR risks in the context of the Company’s strategic and commercial objectives and what areas required updating as priority. When the UK went into a global lockdown, Iwas in charge of leading and managing a remote workforce. This included creating remote setup management systems for employees so there was engagement and monitoring for SMTs. The pandemic also intensified feelings of uncertainty in some people which allowed me to use my interpersonal skills to keep the workforce motivated and positive. In my first year I also helped open our South African office which afforded me the opportunity to work closely with the Director for this region, ensuring the full life cycle framework was completed and maintained. After two years we unfortunately had to shut the region down due to economic circumstances in our industry as well as South Africa being greylisted. This allowed me to gain more experience in mass redundancies - of which I single handedly led and completed successfully. Employee count - 102.

Supporting SMT and Directors

● I work closely with executive committee members and their senior management teams to deliver HR strategy and effective management of the employment lifecycle, including resource planning, employee relations matters, talent initiatives, employee engagement and reward. This requires exceptional organization and a high level of EQ skills to effect change within departments and processes.

● I ensure that business areas deliver an effective performance management process, including the development of management skills, management of under-performance, year-end rating calibration and appraisals.

Employee Relations

● I support leadership with the effective management of ad hoc people issues, e.g. difficult working relationships, informal and formal grievances, disciplinary processes and redundancies.

● TUPE process

● Dispute facilitator for senior managers

Recruitment

● I set up and monitored our in-house recruitment strategy - managing our Talent Acquisition Lead to headhunt, review and facilitate all our global role requirements.

● When recruiters were used - I liaised and maintained all relationships with UK recruiters ensuring we had best talent available for any recruitment needs as the company grew.

● When recruiters were not in use I sourced, interviewed and set up all candidates for senior managers. This included using LinkedIn, Job boards and application tracking systems. Operations

● I continually identified improvements to working methods and processes, implementing changes, as appropriate. I have done this through implementation of various initiatives such as digital payroll, remote management and HRIS systems.

● I have a good understanding of data analytics and use it to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives. This means analyzing employee engagement data, performance metrics and other feedback to inform HR decision-making.

● All HR generalist tasks I have remained proficient at and kept doing as well as above higher function roles (payroll processing/contract and onboarding creation/HRIS housekeeping/employee file maintenance/vetting and document set up for starters).

● Help shape and guide the compliance of management with HR global standards, policies and procedure. This included setting up and executing GDPR policies and training as well as our FCA remuneration policy. All HR policies I created, maintained and updated with new legislation and review annually.

● Maintained office setups which included laptop procurement, office supplies, H&S standards and organizing company events.

Team Management

● I managed a team of two in the UK region ensuring all their training and BAU work is done to company standards. My management also extended to setting up HR juniors in other global regions to ensure they were trained in company policies and standards. Training & Development

● I trained and monitored HR teams in global regions ensuring they stay in line with company standards and strategy. This also included training managers on best practices and policies.

● Annual policy and training was also conducted and tracked by myself.

● I set up training courses after gap analysis and performance reviews were completed for employees and managers.
