Professional Summary

Hello, my name is Bob Kriss, and I am looking to find my retirement job. I am a no nonsense hard-working common-sense type of guy. I am looking to grow and learn more while enjoying myself where I work. Working at Tractor Supply in the Freight Team has been a great place to start. I quickly became the Sorter with others moving on. I admit being Sorter on freight days are tough since we move thousands of pounds on freight day; however, I always try to have a great attitude and keep everyone as cheery as possible. I have learned a lot but know there is more to learn. I’ve learned many products in all departments as others that have been there longer have come to me to locate items or seek knowledge. I am that guy that looks over the shoulder to see how something is done. I do not walk off to let someone else do it. Working at the Salvation Army I developed my own reports and processes as I was the first dedicated inspection person in all of Salvation Army. I inspected and inventoried all homes for problems and material items as the Salvation Army owns the Pastors homes and furniture type items. I inspected all commercial buildings for repairs and inventory as well.

My Risk Engineer employment with Cove Insurance consisted of scheduling site reviews of residential and commercial sites for nation-wide builders, helping builders with inspecting products and investigating potential problems to look for with regards to installations. I was the sole Risk Engineer for the insurance company for the purpose of comparing them equally. My reports were emailed to Lloyds of London for review and rating of clients.

I am also an experienced hands-on person in the new construction home building field. I started working in the new construction field as a helper in 1991 repairing drywall and finishing homes for buyer walks. I worked in the Warranty field for approximately 16 years dealing with customer complaints and repairing issues on the spot to calm upset homeowners. I would commonly meet trades on-site to determine who needed to handle what repairs and confirm what trade was at fault. My last 11 years with a new home builder was the Quality Assurance position, which I was solely responsible for scheduling all homeowner Pre-Drywall Frame Walks and QA inspections. I adjusted my calendar as build days would not line up with original build schedule from the Superintendent. I inspected sewer and plumbing trenches to walking all roofs for the final and all inspections in between. Many times, City Inspectors would come to me to see what I found. I would walk with them regularly even though I was not a Superintendent.

I am an expert individual focused on furthering my career and to be able to retire at a company I enjoy. I strive to improve anywhere I work as I have great customer service skills even when a customer my be unhappy. I have always tried to improve on how people see the companies I have worked for and to better improve customer service. I treat everyone in the companies I have worked for the same, whether they are paid to clean or my supervisor. I will always keep my options open to moving up in the company. Looking for an opportunity to move up and show what I have to offer as a reliable employee. Skills

Tractor Supply

Freight Team / Sorter

Since becoming Sorter, I make sure to load carts to keep freight team busy. Feed is placed after unloading close to feed location for quicker sorting, which was changed when I recommended due to time savings. I backstock all feed except poultry straight to backstock location while completing pick lists regularly before shift is over. Non truck days I am thorough in recovery as well. My years of customer service taught me to be courteous and patient to all customers. I have been to seminars on Quality Customer Service through my pervious home builder warranty job.

February 2021 – April 2021

Salvation Army

Commercial and Residential Property Inspector

Salvation Army found me and hired me as a Property Inspector, in which I was the first person in this worldwide organization to be a dedicated inspector to inventory all homes and commercial property in the Dallas Forth Worth area. I inspected and inventoried all homes and some commercial locations, which included kitchens and homeless shelters in the roughest parts of town. I completed reports on all the locations inspected that were later sent to the trades for bidding of repairs. All the bid reports were sent to proper supervisor and trades. I was on my own with a company truck to set up inspection times and walk the properties, buildings and homes for property inspection and inventory.

June 2019 – October 2020

Cove Programs Insurance

Risk Engineer Specialist

Monitored national homebuilders and commercial job sites for insurance risk impacts, collaborating with safety, risk, and construction personnel to prevent insurance class action claims issues. Worked exclusively on my own to schedule job site reviews throughout the country. Worked with Insurance Brokers, Risk Management, and on- site VPs of Construction to coordinate on-site access and receive safety and construction practices online. Received hundreds of reports from third party inspection companies for the purpose of monitoring any irregular deficiencies. Position eliminated due to the downturn during COVID. June 2009 – June 2019

Granville Homes

Quality Control / Assurance Inspector

Worked with builders, Superintendents, and trades to understand and avoid in-field mistakes. Being the only one in my office for most of my time at this position I oversaw multiple job sites in the quality inspection and confirmation of inspected items being completed. Worked hand in hand with onsite superintendents and trades to avoid class action type items. Prepared inspection reports and scheduled all inspection days and times for multiple job sites across the area. Used iPads to document all inspections and took thousands of pictures to confirm proper building practices. Used Capture and Box programs for documentation of individual lots with approximately 500 – 1000 photos taken per home, depending on square footage and options picked. Other office related programs used included Office, OneDrive, Excel, and Word. I inspected residential and multi- family housing from sewer inspection before foundation makeup, pre-pour foundation, present during every pour, framing inspection, MEPS, envelope and penetrations, windows and flashings, roof assemblies and final inspections from roof to grading. I scheduled and performed pre-drywall frame homeowner walks with new homeowners which included a 1-to-2-hour review and education experience for homeowners to better understand their home. The education consisted of reviewing and confirming options selected, walking homeowner through clean and safe environment, educating them on required maintenance and who to contact in case of an emergency. I helped make homeowners feel more confident of their purchase and to better understand the workings of their new home. Left for new opportunity and moving to Texas. June 1992 – June 2009

Granville Homes

Warranty Specialist

During my time as a Warranty Specialist, I was responsible for keeping an on-time schedule of repairs and/or confirming what trade or trades needed to do repairs. Onsite visits consisted of listening to homeowners’ issues and writing up reports for the office personnel to distribute to trades. I regularly had homeowner issues that could be repaired on-site including removing wet drywall, adjusting doors, minor adjustments on tankless water heaters, roof inspections, repairs on roofs, and explaining maintenance to homeowners in more detail. Regularly oversaw home coordination of large repairs with multiple trades to facilitate completion in the shortest time. Regularly met with roofing company to confirm repairs were done properly by going on the roof and helping with repairs. I walked with homeowners at their final home walk through to better educate them about their home, found deficiencies for the homeowner, resulting in a higher overall customer satisfaction. Warranty satisfaction was at its highest while I was in this department and has not been at 95% satisfaction since. There were 3 of us at the time that were great techs.
