PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Lowes Store Sales Associate 2020 -2022 BUNGE NORTH AMERICA, Bellevue, OH 2010 – 2019
Project & Reliability Engineer - Electrical Maintenance Management, 2012 – 2019
Performed a variety of functions in large, agribusiness plant with 5 different processing lines with 20-100 different machines per line. Oversaw plant system upgrades and managed project-specific budgets ranging from $60K-$1.3M. Developed technologies to do preventative testing on equipment and oversaw testing. Managed vendors and teams.
Plant Systems Enhancement Achievements:
Identified equipment options for installation on processing lines, procured equipment, facilitated installation, and coordinated training of employees regarding new equipment.
Pinpointed electrical and mechanical system improvement needs and supervised their execution.
Supervised vendors that installed, maintained, and enhanced critical equipment and systems while ensuring contract performance.
Managed up to 3 crews of vendors with crew sizes ranging from 3-12 contractors.
Managed up to a total of 35 contractors at one time.
Oversaw 20+ successful plant system improvements including but not limited to the following:
Managed contractor that designed and installed new, 6,000 KVA twin transformer 12,400KV sub-station. Provided input to and reviewed design. Supervised installation. Reduced maintenance costs by 30% and plant downtime by 5%. Project cost: $1.3M.
Managed vendors that installed class I and class II electrical systems, motor control centers, 900 horsepower extrusion motor variable frequency drive, high-resistance ground detector units, and category III operator equipment safety interlocks.
Supervised installation of power factor correction capacitor banks that saved $30K per month.
Plant Maintenance Achievements:
Managed skilled labor in evaluating, troubleshooting, and optimizing plant systems.
Developed testing protocols and schedules to assess if plant machines and systems were operating within specified parameters.
Oversaw and conducted preventative, testing of equipment to identify machines needing repair and collaborated with technicians to arrange repair of failing equipment.
Prevented regulatory failures and fines by establishing internal assessment of plant systems.
Plant Safety Achievements:
Managed plant safety and ensured machine reliability by developing testing protocols and testing schedules to improve safety, plant reliability, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.
Assessed existing safety program and related 5-page documentation and redesigned program. Developed 36-page program document that codified new and improved program articulating how to safely repair equipment when equipment failed and needed repair.
Created electrical layouts and classification of areas of electrical systems in plant and proper procedures for electricians to use in plant.
Trained staff regarding proper execution of new safety program.
Plant Reliability and Maintenance Engineer, 2010 – 2012
Performed a variety of functions to ensure reliability of plant systems and maintain equipment.
Developed technologies, testing protocols, and testing schedules to improve safety, plant reliability and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.
Trained electricians on arc-flash safety guidelines.
Created predictive programs including motor testing PDMA and infrared camera, along with monitoring.
