PCT (Patient Care Technician)

Correctly record and report information according to established procedures.

Perform various administrative duties including data entry and document preparation.

Efficiently transport specimens to different facilities and labs.

Assist Care Team Leaders in completing various care tasks.

Float between Observation and the ER to provide needed support if necessary.

The ability to provide direct care toward the comfort and safety of each patient while enhancing his/her lifestyle with the ability to gain trust leading to complete satisfaction in the services provided.

The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable stamina such as lifting, bending, stooping, walking, and handling of materials. Washing hands before and after leaving any patients room.

Assist with daily dental, oral care, required bed baths, showers, dressing, hair brushing, and nail care.

Turning and repositioning bed ridden patients every two hours to prevent bed sores.

Assists in encouraging patients to reach their maximum level of physical function with minimum help.

Obtain vital signs, temp, pulse, respirations, and weight. Caregiver (Home Health Aide)

The ability to perform healthcare related duties such as monitoring patient conditions, vitals, range of motion exercises, input, output, and medication distribution under the direction of a RN.

All healthcare procedures are done in the privacy of the patient in hospital, home, or apartment settings.

The aptitude to consult with a 24hour medical team evaluating the patient needs and planning for continuous care.

Light house work including laundry, errands, prescription fill ins, pick-ups, and preparing food.

Encourage exercising, light walking, reading, puzzles, newspaper reading, and crafting arts.

Phlebotomy/EKG

The competency to perform procedures, obtaining appropriate patient information, and ensuring that each specimen collected has a valid date for processing and billing.

Trained in preparing, conducting, and interpreting EKG 12 lead testing obtaining accurate readings for diagnostic purposes.

Assurance of a bacteria and infection free environment through the practice of universal precautions.
