Just recently, I relocated to Southern Alabama, where I took an early retirement, however retirement isn’t what I expected so I’m looking forward to reentering the work force which met my personal and professional life goals. Please note I left my previous organization in excellent status and are willing to relocate back to Colorado. In addition, I have extensive knowledge and experience working with the front range in Colorado.

Administration:

Directed a recreational community program encompassing 26 developed parks, 1853 acres of open space land, over 36 miles of developed trails, three multi-million dollar recreation/fitness/wellness facilities, along with a variety of other public recreational facilities.

Administer annual progressive community programs and are held accountable in all areas of excellence in planning, facility management, outreach development, youth and adult activities, outdoor recreation/education, sports, athletics, arts and cultural services and aquatics, along with providing senior citizen and community resource services.

Provide administration and management of organization policies for a diverse population and large employee staff. Highly skilled at the public policy development process, along with group facilitation.

Managed multi-million-dollar operation budgets for each organization served, along with numerous capital improvement program budgets. Responsible for all fiscal operations both annually and long term.

Served as Project Manager in the development and coordinating the City of Louisville Parks and Recreation and Senior Services Master Plans. Plans resulted in dramatic community improvements in parks, recreation, trails and human services for older adults.

Direct operations relating to comprehensive facility/building maintenance/grounds programs and custodial services for organizational facilities. Skilled at negotiating contractual services in all capacities with multiple vendors.

Research, plan and prepare data in understandable format for public presentations for park and facility development. Work closely with landscape architects and other professional consultants on land acquisitions and community park development projects.

Recreation & Community Services:

Directed and managed two outdoor recreational campgrounds/laboratories for both youth and adults.
