This includes legacy system support and redesign, new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) enhancements, and the design and development of new (barcode scan-able, voice-enabled, and touch-enabled) applications, and workflow automation, in the support of clinical and environmental laboratory testing and epidemiology.

Responsible for database, data warehouse, data mine, data mart, dashboard, web application design, development, and support for Economic Services Administration, Operations Support Division, E-MAPS Office using SAS, MS-SQL Server, Corda/DOMO, Java, and C#.Net.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Analyzed their information flows and design a data warehouse, data mine, and multiple data marts, to address all
of their management and federal reporting needs.
- Developed a database and front-end application to ETL reports from diverse sources, processing and combining many
information management needs into one comprehensive system. That system is still being used today, without any
need for modification or enhancement since developed.
Information Technology Office Chief Department of Social and Health Services Olympia, WA 1997-2000
Responsible for all tasks performed by 35 diverse IT professionals. Responsible for the management and delivery of IT services to over 3,000 users and the public. This included multiple public assistance, food stamps, financial reporting, and health insurance benefit programs.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Successfully created a new IT office with over 250 employees, that was spread over two cities and three different
locations. This included combining three networks into one new building, all over two weekends, with no downtime.
- Instituted Help Desk Issue Tracking, combined priority meetings, and time-tracking procedures.
- Created an in-house training center for IT staff professional development and customer system training.
- Created and led an inter-agency Federal and State Financial Reporting system project to standardize reporting.
- Developed and implemented a major imaging project processing 2.4 million imaged documents a month using OCR and
bar code recognition, in less than six months, saving the agency from a $300 million dollar Federal audit penalty.
- Streamlined complicated reporting system for a 47,900% (not a typo!) increase in speed of completion.
