Lightstorm Telecom Connectivity Private Limited
Lightstorm Telecom Ventures is an independent, carrier-neutral telecom infrastructure platform set up by I Squared Capital, a global infrastructure-focused private equity fund. The mission is to create a digital native and market leading network platform-based business, built on asset acquisitions roll up and business transformation strategy. Global Head HR (Jan 2021 till June 2023), Southeast Asia Responsible for the People function across 3 geographies – India, Singapore, and Indonesia. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, my role focused on driving up the revenues and profitability of a growing enterprise by means of a well-rounded and effective People function. Led headcount growth from 20 to 400 in 2 years. Represented Lightstorm as the single point HR interface for I Squared Capital. Reported directly to the Global CEO. Led a team of 7.
Tenure highlights:
• Steered year-on-year Annual Operating Plan (AOP) to calibrate and align manpower budgets, hiring, performance management, compensation & benefits, and all other HR annual initiatives.
• Created and implemented Grading/ Banding framework for the entire Organization.
• Set up the organization structure, policies, hiring, compliance and all other HR processes for Indonesia and Singapore, in addition to India.
• Developed the Talent Management blueprint, including Organizational Development and Growth readiness (ODGR), Competency Mapping (Technical & Behavioral), Quarterly Talent and Competency Gap Assessment(s).
• Led Learning & Leadership Development to create a culture of collective success and learning. Conducted and led Leadership programs to identify and build the next level leadership or succession pipeline.
• Hired key positions such as Head Customer Experience & Success, Senior General Counsel, Head Sales Europe, Head Product Management, Head Network Operations, amongst others. Created a new vertical - Network Operations Center (NOC) – by means of successful reverse transition from third- party based model.
• Conceptualized and implemented the HR Management System (HR IS) using ZingHR, automating the entire Employee Lifecycle - Performance Management, Recruitment Management System, Employee Recognition, Compensation & Benefits, and Labour Compliances.
