Union Journeyman Carpenter for Heavy Industrial Project. Train rail link site that required hundreds of various size bolt patterns with tight tolerances. Set Doka wall forms and installed blockouts. Coordinated with inspectors and crews to meet deadlines.

GRANITE CONSTRUCTION (Arco, ID) — Union Journeyman Foreman and Carpenter, 02/2021 to 07/2022

Union Foreman and Carpenter for Government Sector Project. Managed crew of five carpenters and one tender including setting schedules for nuclear waste project at INL. Reported to project manager and coordinated scheduling to meet deadlines and requirements. Utilized prefab Doka cantilever forms that were set with cranes and forklifts. Project involved over 280,000 yards of concrete placement.

MCALVAIN CONSTRUCTION (Boise, ID) — Foreman and Superintendent, 05/2017 to 10/2018

Foreman and Superintendent for Commercial and Government Sector Projects. Managed crews, scheduled pours, planned site prep and layout. Responsible for weekly meetings with project manager on site progress. Ran all phases of concrete on Boise City Hall Improvement project, including multiple pours with different colored concrete. Superintendent on Boise Greenbelt sidewalk repairs. Foreman on Phase I and II of the Ruby Dam Spillway project. Planned site prep, layout and supervised all concrete pours for Spillway and Access Bridge. Foreman for both wall and flatwork crews; coordinated with superintendent to schedule pours and prepare site.

TAMIETTI CONSTRUCTION (Great Falls, MT) — Leadman/Journeyman Carpenter, 5/08 to 10/10

Union Journeyman carpenter for heavy road construction, primarily highway bridge construction. Involved in all phases of construction including: site prep, pile driving, forming and finish work.

QUALITY CONCRETE, INC (Boise, ID) — Commercial Concrete Foreman, 5/93 to 3/07

Supervised a wide range of commercial and residential concrete work in the Boise, ID area. Used blueprints to determine material and labor needs, as well as working with other subcontractors to determine layout and scheduling. Completed diverse construction/demolition projects of small commercial buildings including from the ground-up build of numerous churches, schools, small offices, banks, slab on grade commercial buildings and outpatient medical clinics. Project Highlights

GOVERNMENT SECTOR PROJECTS (2013, 2016, 2017-2018, 2021-2022)

Spent Fuel Handling Structure for Nuclear Waste: 280,000 yards of concrete poured in nuclear waste catchment site utilizing Doka wall forms set with cranes and forklifts.

Veterans Parkway Pavement Project: Superintendent and Foreman on project that included setting forms on major street improvement. Bidwell Operator on all pours.

Boise City Hall Improvement Project: Superintendent and Foreman on decorative concrete project that included inset lighting, water displays, and art structures. Project required non-traditional form setting for different colored concrete in artistic styling.

Sea-Tac Rest Area Rehab: Superintendent on all phases of an $890,000 project to rehab/replace restrooms and improve RV dump area. All phases were completed on time, and the job received letters of commendation from the WASHDOT superintendent.

US Border Crossing Rehab: Superintendent on all phases of 3 separate border crossing pavement rehab, including 1000 yards of concrete replacement and redesign. Job was completed ahead of schedule and well under budget.

DAM IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS (2010-2011)

Ruby Dam Phase I & II: Built walls 16-32 feet in height using Patent Gangform system. Formed and poured slabs on 2:1 slope for the spillway. Formed and poured bridge abutments for the access bridge.

Glendoe Reservoir Project: drove 40-ton haul trucks, as well as assisting with the building of an on-site batch plant.

BRIDGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS (2008 to 2010, 2012-2017)

Columbia River at Kettle Falls Bridge Deck Overlay: Superintendent on all Phases. Planned site prep, layout and supervised all concrete pours.

Hood Canal Bridge Bike Paths: Foreman and Superintendent on $1Million Improvement to apply Wabocrete. Initially Foreman on project took over as superintendent at the halfway point until completion. Responsible for increasing production and efficiency of pours in order to get project completed.

Orcas Island Deer Harbor Channel Bridge: Concrete Foreman on project to install bridge over the Deer Harbor channel. Foreman for all phases from site prep to finish work, including wing walls, deck and approaches, as well as Bidwell Operator for pours.

Bozeman Pass on I-90: Lead carpenter replacing bridge decks including tear off, forming, and pouring of new decks and barriers.

Burlington Northern Bridge Rehab in Great Falls, MT: Drove pile for columns, poured footings and columns, set-up and poured deck on a 300’ bridge over an active rail line.

Continental Bridge Rehab in Butte, MT: Lead carpenter for all phases including tear off, forming and pouring of new decks and barriers on a 350’ bridge over I-90. Used form liners on barrier. Lead finisher on pours for all projects.

LARGE COMMERCIAL AND MULTI STORY PROJECTS (1993 to 2007)

Lead Carpenter and Foreman as well as Lead Finisher for commercial concrete company. Managed various size crews on multi-story parking structures, 10 story office building, 6 story office building with multi-story underground parking garage, post tension parking garage, and several other large commercial projects.
