Doha Port Project is comprised of multiple construction packages / contracts and located to the north of the South Eastern District. The infrastructure and streetscape package is the main core of the Doha Port Project that will provide for accessibility and utility services (electricity, telecommunication, domestic water and firefighting, irrigation, foul water drainage and surface water drainage, LPG network, etc.). Infrastructure and streetscape package will cover all main spine which will route all traffic to different components and districts of the Doha Port (Garden District North, Garden District South, Sports Marina, Marina District, Grand Terminal, Iconic Hotel, and Spa Hotel & Resort District).

The project involves; construction of four (4) substations, four (4) pump stations, storm water network, foul sewer network, one (1) pedestrian underpass, irrigation network, power supply and distribution, fire / potable water network and district cooling network.

Duties and responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Project Manager

Monitor implementation of Project HSE Plan, Client’s/Engineer’s HSE Requirements in the Project.

Ensure project health, safety and environmental standards meet legislated requirements and company policy.

Develop and recommend measures on “Workers Safety” assurance.

Provide site safety leadership and ensure compliance with corporate and other Legal Safety Standards.

Ensuring that all staff and subcontractors are made aware of the requirement of the HSE Plan and CEMP, understand their responsibilities and have access to suitable training, induction and tool box talks throughout the duration of the works.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Project Manager

Monitoring and implementation of HSE Plan and Construction Waste Management Plan in compliance with local regulations and LEED requirements.

Overall supervision of Environmental Team and subcontractors

Ensure that Client’s Environmental requirements are met and adhered to the fullest.

Ensure that all applicable laws, regulations and standards as per QCS 2010 are adhered to and complied.

Provides technical advice to operations and shared services personnel pertaining Environmental issues.

Chair a weekly / monthly Safety & Environmental coordination meeting

•Responsible for Managing Safety Health and Environmental aspects of overall

construction & testing / commissioning activities.

•Directly managing and leading a team of 45 HSE Specialists and this capacity

involved in the day to-day management of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

operations.
