Director of Operations

WHITMAN PARTNERS– Portland, OR July 2016–Feb 2024

The national talent agency for perioperative leadership focusing on search, consulting, and community exclusively for the Operating Room—the primary revenue center of the hospital. I served on the Executive Team and was a partner in the firm.

● Drive sales initiatives, team staffing and processes, service line development, budgeting, and expense control increasing revenue from $6.5 mil to $20 mil

● Developed and staffed new marketing, human resources, finance, IT, portfolio manager, and interim departments to propel growth and quality of services

● Executed yearly comp plan modeling (salary and commission-based) providing transparency, simplifying payroll, and improving margins through competitive wages and targeted incentives

● Built strategic partnerships with nonprofits, vendors, and thought leaders to improve industry footprint, grow sales pipeline, and maximize “white glove treatment” for candidates

● Implemented “Deal Desk” contract administration and negotiation resulting in greater consistency and terms amongst contracts, tripling annual volume of master service agreements, improving cash flow and decreasing leakage through quality control of invoicing

● Assisted CEO in creating operational and tech systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives and regularly presented to staff on progress
