I have worked many different positions throughout my life I was in a sales position from 14-19. I even managed in that position. I am familiar with a
administrative work as I was a secretary as well as shown my administration work with past employers. I have also been a lead
preschool teacher and kindergarten sub for 9 years for a private school in the lake’s region. I have gone to school for paralegal which I did not complete but it made me more familiar with laws. I also attended schooling to become a lead teacher as well. I am hoping to pursue my education in my current field in Anthropology in Environmental studies but started with my BA in psychology. I have also worked in home health as a registered CNA/LNA and PCA for a few years. Throughout the life I have had the pleasure of meeting people in many walks of life. I have
many of my own lived experiences that id love to share with others on the journey through life. My biggest accomplishment in life is no matter how tough thing can be I remain positive honest direct and supportive. Another accomplishment is that I continue to accept growth in my life. Another great accomplishment is having my children. Raising them has been the most rewarding job I could have. I also believe that community is important and serving others and listening some times is what they need.
COMMUNICATION
Communication is key in every situation and how you handle it. Every person has a different perspective on things. For me I listen to what people say and relate to them on a personal but professional matter. I view IPS as my life. That explains my thinking and how I react to any situation. I will always remain professional with my colleges and will always remain professional on and off the clock. I take time to articulate my thoughts. My downfall is that I care deeply and am empathetic with people. In personal experience I have realized that sometimes you can not connect with a particular person or situation, but I am learning that being honest and direct well communicating is important and key to building a positive connection. I strive in very fast paced environments and thrive with a certain amount of structure. I am a team player and always willing to learn something new even if it’s a thousand questions later.
LEADERSHIP
I will always lead by example. I have worked in many different situations where I have managed and run certain things in my life. I personally feel that being leadership takes time, trust and respect. With that said most recently I have worn many different hats with my past employers. I have
been administrator; I have been in Respite care and have worked on occasion many different skill sets. I have yet to be a so-called leader but a
supporter of all people in there walks of life who have looked up to me respected me and help me grow as a peer and as an employee. Leadership is a word that I feel I do daily while in my current position in life as mother and as becoming a new employee.
