With reference to the advertisement on Indeed Website for the post of Secretary, I am pleased to submit my application.

I have been working for more than 20 years with the Solicitor General as Confidential Secretary at the Attorney General's Office of Mauritius which is a Department of the Ministry of Justice in Mauritius.

Actually, I am working as Secretary at Varma Chambers, a well-established Law Firm in Mauritius. My duties consist of updating diaries for court cases, updating cases as per cause list, arrange appointments, managing diaries for as all court cases, fill and send prison’s form when visit is requested to visit detainees, update and manage new clients files, retrieve new Supreme Court Judgments everyday, update Government Gazette, Bills, Acts, Government Gazette, attend court as and when required, manage and make telephone calls. Other cognate duties as and when requested.

I am a very hard and dedicated worker and working at odd and staggered hours has helped me to develop administrative skills and taking decisions on my own. In my job, I have been dealing with different kinds of customers. I am client focussed and always well-organized. I have also been working with several lawyers.

My skills and duties are as follows -

•to do multitasking duties such as opening and distributing regular electronic incoming mails and respond to electronic enquiries;
