Tissue Culture and Ad-interim Starter Material Manager August 2021 - September 2023, US, CA, Gilroy
* Lead Starter Material Planning for Tissue Culture Lab, Pathology lab and Elite Greenhouse to ensure plant material produced healthy and high quality plants.
* Deliver and drive the development of protocols for new technologies and subsequently the delivery of innovations in strong collaboration with breeding, trialing, tissue culture, and growing teams.
* Lead Tissue Culture plant propagation activities in supporting plant production for commercial orders, after initiation from the Breeding Team and in coordination with the Growing Teams, to ensure the quantity, quality and timely delivery of yearly plant orders in doing so, we increase output by 50% YoY with 92% satisfaction rate.
* Lead production, delivery and shipment planning (including financial costing) for our TC Lab in Gilroy.
* Lead plant propagation activities invitro and vivo plant material, plan plant production for commercial orders, and coordination with the farm on delivery time to ensure the quantity, quality and timely delivery of yearly plant orders.
* Assist in all activities in the R&D Plant Pathology Laboratory at the Flowers Gilroy site, supporting plant health testing, diagnostic testing, and breeding projects.

* Lead Tissue Culture lab, Pathology lab and Elite greenhouse with project delegation and operational schedule for a year as well as scheduling with the farm located in Cohen, Ethiopia, Kenya, Guatemala, and Mexico.
* Manage internal and external plant quality and process audits for Flowers R&D at the Gilroy site.
* Track and trace the location and testing status of plant material located in the greenhouse and lab at Gilroy in order to support the Quality Management System.
* Review, update, and manage internal quality management documentation.
* Perform assays for seed-borne pathogens, disease resistance screening, execute assigned research projects and collect and test samples for plant pathogens.
