Project: Phoenix Project for Yanfeng Automotive Interiors (YFAI) Member of QAD Augmented Resources Team of Business Process Analysts Johnson Controls, Inc divested much of its automotive manufacturing business to a consortium of Adient and YFAI (China) about 2016. The two firms decided to focus on separate areas, but were united by their highly-customized QAD Mfg/Pro ERP system, a mix of eB/eB2 versions circa 2000 along with a variety of special purpose software and spreadsheets. YFAI opted to move forward with QAD’s Cloud 2016 offering and separate itself from the Adient system. Phoenix Project was to perform that Siamese twin software systems separation and upgrade/migration for more than 40 plants around the World. Our team of 5 was charged with performing business process surveys, systems analysis with Gap analysis studies between each Plant’s “Needs” and
‘core model’ offerings, staff re-training, UAT signoffs, migration guidance and management, followed by post-migration on-site support.
