Independent Global Project Logistics Consultancy:

September 2023 to date:

1.Provide strategic consultancy services to various client on their Global Logistics Strategies.

2.Conduct a detailed ‘pit to port ‘study for a new mining operation in Mali that involved extensive travel to Mali and Senegal. This involved a detailed field road survey, staging / warehouse requirements and WMS systems, port reviews, develop a detailed financial feasibility and optimisation plan and model.

ArcelorMittal Liberia – Project Logistics, Material & Warehouse Manager (LMW)

October 2021 – August 2023 (contract position)

Primary location Liberia

1.Project Logistics, Material & Warehouse management of Phase II Project ($1,8 billion)

-Lead the strategic direction and safety management of the LMW function, including but not limited to: charter vessel planning, Customs & Excise import & export protocols, loading & discharge of Out of Gauge cargo, expediting, receiving quality control, Offshore & On logistics & transportation, warehouse, and site material management.

-Development, implementation and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and risk management of inbound and outbound materials.

-Key focus: construction and operational schedules.

-Management of mechanical equipment such as light and heavy vehicles, reach stackers, forklifts, telehandlers, cranes.

2.Management of all modes of transport: Ocean & vessel charters, road (remote OOG), rail and airfreight.

3.Management of Human Logistics Resource (airport arrivals, accommodation, local transportation}.

1.Conduct strategic Global Logistics Studies for various green and brown field projects / Peer Reviews / Global Logistics Plans / Detailed planning of bulk ore / heavy + OOG (out of gauge) cargo; global logistics planning assignment for Covid relief, from origin to multiple Africa destinations, LMW independent audit reviews.

C. Steinweg Mozambique Lda - Commercial and Operations Manager – Mozambique

March 2020 - March 2021 (1 year - contract position)

1.Based in Pemba and working within the Power, Mining and Energy sector, with a strategic focus on the developing LNG Project in Afungi.

2.Lead Project negotiator and nominated Project Manager for the Total Muxara Logistics Base development in Pemba.
