HOBBIES

I love to go kayaking, hiking and fishing. I enjoy creating fairy gardens and being outside during the beautiful weather that Redding, CA offers three out of four seasons. One of my most memorable as well as fulfilling experiences I have had would be the six months of humanitarian work with the Department of Defense I did during Operation Allies Welcome, the Afghan refugees resettlement effort. I learned so much about different cultural backgrounds, new languages and different family interactions. It was extremely difficult work but everyday I returned to the hotel with a sense of fulfillment, pride in my work and the feeling that I was making a genuine difference in the world for good.
