Automation of Direct-to -Store-Delivery (DSD) Purchase Order (PO) Process Description: This project was aimed at bringing Purchase Order related inquiries to “Nil” compared to 700 earlier and helped Store Operations, Suppliers, Merchandisers and Finance teams by streamlining the process. The project eliminated multiple phone calls and the need for physical PO thereby saving paper across stores. Setting a third party COLD CHAIN Warehouse at Palwal Description: Initially, suppliers directly supplied to our stores and the vendors had major issues regarding the minimum order qty and value as due to geographically dispersed stores, vendors had appointed distributors which were supplying few set of stores and due to high cost involved in cold chain logistics, in-stocks and fill rate were really low. Worked closely with logistics to open 3pl MJ Logistics that has not only helped vendors to supply bigger volume at one location but also helped increasing in-stocks and fill rate all across the dairy/frozen category. Have also started backhaul logistics for supporting cold chain suppliers.

Pack Size Rationalization:

Description: In mid of 2013 I took charge of this project and by November 2013, in all dairy/frozen/confectionary SKU’s, 85% of SKU’s were flowing through inventory and only 15% of those were stored at warehouse. This helped business in reducing packaging, improving warehouse efficiency, and resolving overstocking issues at stores. Warehouse 27 set up:

Description: At Amira, successfully managed to set up 1,72,000 sq feet mother warehouse in Gurgaon. Identified and defined S&D strategy, P&L projection, distribution model, sales power structure, manpower calculation, process flow, w/h SOP, Planogram and Repl Model set up.
