Starbucks Coffee Company, 2525 7th St W, St. Paul MN- Shift Management/ Supervisor
October 2022-July 2023
This position gave me the opportunity to fully grow into my leadership skills. With this job I had to work decisively to make sure the right people were in the correct positions, whether on or off the floor, so as to not slow the flow of business. I also had to have precise time management skills to make sure that whoever was on the floor, whether that be 2 or 10 people, all got their breaks in a timely fashion as to not impede business flow, but also to make sure that they could have time to sit and rest. Time management is also very important when in this position to make sure that certain tasks are getting done in order to set up whoever comes in after for success. With this job I was also in charge of counting cash explicitly and filing it into our computer system, as well as taking it to the bank on change order days. I also had to be an understanding and empathetic mediator if there were any unsatisfied customers, always having the patience to resolve and find the best solution, no matter the problem.
Raising Cane’s Restaurant, 2420 Fairview Ave N, Roseville MN- Restaurant Manager
July 2023- Current
This position gave me many new experiences and opportunities for growth. With this job my tasks were cooking chicken carefully and perfectly up to standard as to avoid cross contamination, keeping up to pace cooking in a busy kitchen, providing amazing customer service and making sure every customer I encountered had an exceptional experience feeling welcomed, comfortable and engaged in conversation. My manager duties involved the careful handling and counting of cash and making sure employees were following dress code, code of conduct, and overall health standards. As a manager at Cane’s I take a very active role with customers, spending a large portion of my shifts are in the lobby conversing with customers, and cleaning to make sure the restaurant is presentable and above and beyond food safety standards. I also often attend district wide meetings to strengthen the communication between all Cane’s restaurants and to help organize fundraising within the surrounding communities,as Raising Cane’s is very active with their surrounding community. Problem solving and de-escalation are a big factor in this role. I want to make sure that customers and employees alike feel safe, valued, and cared for so they can have the best experience possible when coming into the restaurant.
EDUCATION
Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, 16th W 5th St, St. Paul MN— Diploma
August 2019- May 2021
I have always had an outstanding love for the performing arts even as a young child, so when given the opportunity to study the arts and academics together my sophomore year, I made sure to jump right into the opportunity. Here I not only graduated, but also learned multiple social skills as well as strong self-discipline skills. The school has an open campus, meaning there's a lot more opportunity for distraction, but with time management and self-discipline skills I was able to excel in both my arts and academics.
