Optum is an affiliate of United Health Group (UHG) Job Functions

UHG delegated Optum to maintain applicable U.S. licenses for their health plan members for prior authorization of prescription drugs.

I maintained all of the licenses in the applicable states that required prior authorizations of drugs. This was most of the states in the U.S. Most states have very stringent and lengthy laws and statutes for their license forms.

I reviewed both the state laws and any changes to the renewal forms each year before I could gather all of the information required in the renewal application. These renewals had 2 to 20+ pages or more.
