4. Functional food supplements.

5. Gastrointestinal effects of drugs and supplements.

6. Evolutionary aspects of nutrition.

Major Administrative Responsibilities:

1979-1989 Head of a group of biologists engaged in the problem of metabolism and absorption of drugs.

1990-1994 Head of a group of scientists engaged in the investigation of toxicology of drugs and materials used in dentistry. Supervised and participated in pharmacological and toxicological studies and documents preparation for drugs clinical testing. Developed and implemented Testing Protocols approved by the Government agencies. Participated in the development of Phenazepam – popular in Eastern Europe tranquilizer.

1992-1995 Head of the Trophology lab engaged in the investigation of food behavior and food additives. Established research goals and supervised staff involved in the scientific research in the following fields:

- taste sensitivity and preferences for various food additives, essential fatty acids and vitamins;

- effect of selected synthetic and natural agents on regulation of nutrition;

- effects of micronutrients and pharmacological agents on human and animal nutritional behavior.
