Re: Paralegal Position

I recently completed my Paralegal program at the University of Miami, I am passionate about Immigration Law and share the need to help others with these important issues in their lives. I have a strong understanding of law and procedures and am eager to learn and follow instructions.

I am highly skilled in the drafting of legal texts in accordance with the skills acquired as a highly experienced lawyer in Latin America. All my life I have worked unsupervised, for me part of my responsibility and every task is to deliver on time, fast and quality.

The value I bring to the team comes from my personality, respect, and empathy for others, as well as my excellent communication skills.

Being detailed and precise in my tasks are some of my qualities and I understand the need to be so in a job that requires and demands coherence in the writing and in the evidence to be presented and in the precise research. As an immigrant I am aware of the personal need to accompany the applicant and to be informed on a daily basis.

I have successfully filed multiple immigration applications using USCIS forms for many years, both from my country of origin, Colombia, and from the United States, where I have been a legal resident since August 2022. These applications include I-129, I-140, I-539, I-589, I-730, I-765, and I-907, as well as processing forms such as G-28, G-1145, and G-1450. I am familiar with these forms and their requirements.

Spanish is my mother language, and I am very good at reading and writing in English, and I am still working on my oral skills in English.
