Duties & Responsibilities:

Work directly with Warehouse Manager and Director of Operations on all tasks associated with the processing of customer orders. Executes day-by-day operating plans and recommends staffing adjustments based on volume, customer expectations and workflow.

Continuously analyzes process workflow, manning, space requirements and equipment to provide recommendations or changes to currently processes and methodologies for better efficiency. Collaborates daily with departmental supervisors to ensure they are fully informed of daily operational goals and objectives.

Work directly with customer service representatives to ensure orders are shipping correctly. Ensure all orders are identified and processed in accordance with customer requirements. Ensure customer orders are properly PGI’D by shipping clerks on a daily basis. Directly supervise all shipping coordinators and assign customers to shipping coordinators as needed.

Ensure the shipping clerks are maintaining the truck log on a daily basis. Ensure shipping coordinators are properly preparing all Bills of Lading. Ensure all products and orders are shipped, delivered or received in a timely manner. Coordinate with carriers or TMS personnel to ensure they are providing high service levels. Troubleshoots concerns or potential obstacles to goal accomplishment. Record and track discrepancies to develop remedial plans of action. Communicates and interacts with various internal departments (i.e. IT, HR, Accounting, Customer Service, etc.) in order to resolve issues, capitalize on opportunities and improve business and service performance.

Understand and use SAP processes associated with the entire shipping department. Ensure dollar reports are updated daily and accurate. Manage charge-backs and fix issues pertaining to shortages or overages accordingly. Monitors transport schedules with shipping and production departments. Generate and maintain necessary paperwork and reports. Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale. Train new hires and current employees as needed.

Make sure the warehouse is clean and organized throughout. Develop, publish and enforce adherence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all department tasks and update SOP’s as needed.

Monitor employee performance with regard to compliance of warehouse, GMP and ISO standards. Ensure personnel are trained to standard operating procedures. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as required for the position. Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s of Science Business Administration

Certified Master Forklift Instructor

30 + years of experience in a leadership/supervisory role. 20 + years of experience in inventory control, returns processes, materials management, shipping (both domestically and internationally), receiving, Hazmat regulations and ecommerce.

knowledge of GMP. ISO 9000 & 9001 Trained
