• Investigated and resolved discrepancies in monthly bank accounts while under tight deadlines. Caught check fraud in a 24 hour window that cleared the bank securities. Secured all company financials and successfully transferred all accounting processes over from restricted operating account into a new operating checking account. Bank 4

Manager stated that this type of fraud would normally not be caught until the month end reconciliation is completed and further losses and damages would have occurred. The company suffered no loss from the check fraud.

• Revamped spending habits at corporate office and integrated their expenses into the purchasing needs at the resort to create greater purchasing and negotiating power. Evaluated the requisitions of all departments and created a Purchasing Manager position. Reduced costs of supplies and consumables by reviewing the habits, changing processes and purchasing products in bulk for multiple departments for both locations covering 3 months ahead.

• Worked with the city water department to investigate the historical water issues and consumption, challenges and possible agreements. Evaluated entire water systems on site, actively attacked all repairs, upgraded and brought to code backflow preventers, valves and all irrigation systems, enforced standards of water awareness among the staff and held all staff accountable for water outlook. Implemented water saving technologies such as tree teepee’s, pond and lake plants for water surface coverage to reduce evaporation. In less than one year, all water consumption was reduced by half or more depending on the month. In previous years, one month, in a high consumption period, the water bill was $100,000.00. In that same month, under my new standards and protocols fully enforced, one year later, the cost was reduced to approximately $40,000.00.

• Brought entire resort up to Fire Code and Safety Standards.

• Implemented and enforced new cashiering systems at Front Desk, Bar/Saloon and Pool Café. Updated food vendors, menu’s, menu boards and presentation in restaurant and saloon. Tracked drink and liquor consumption at saloon and increased revenue at the bar by 50% simply by supply and demand adjustments and presentation.

• Requisitioned products and furniture to remodel and modernize hotel buildings, rooms, restaurant, lobby pool restrooms, spending 60% (or far less depending on the area) of projected cost to perform upgrades.

• Created platform to solve the isolated resorts overall telecommunications complications and aging systems chronic failures. Envisioned, financed and managed project to successful completion for installing new fiber optic lines to service an entirely modernized phone, satellite TV and internet system that could properly service the entire resort while providing the security necessary for the offices and Sales Pavilion needs.
