I am a mid-career logistics expert with experience in various industries. My family and I relocated to Deer Park, and I’m looking to find work in the area and become part of the greater Houston community. At the beginning of summer, we got custody of four kids. I took a brief break from work to help them get settled. I’m now ready to go back to work full-time.

Metals sheer operator and general laborer. I oversee inventory, shipping and receiving of steel as well as provide support to other operators. I keep daily reports, receive materials, and manage the work of a helper. I have gained some press operation/bending experience at PCI. I am also assigned to safety tasks, overseeing operations in the absence of the supervisor and quality control for the whole department. I also serve in the role of mediator between staff and supervisors because my team trusts me.

MAINTENANCE, MONTGOMERY COUNTY SCHOOLS

Maintained grounds and building for at a K-4th grade school with 65 staff and 569 students. I completed all maintenance tasks including minor electrical, plumbing and general upkeep of the school structure and grounds. I also held a dishwashing job at Panera to help supplement income until I found a job that better fit my skillset in Texas.

Manufactured plastics binders for courthouses, ensured ballot quality and timely delivery during election period, managed shipping receiving for the WV division, and sewed tight-bound books. I managed all of these multiple tasks and advised on other job functions daily while ensuring quality of materials and product.

IMPORT RECEIVER, KELLWOOD COMPANY

January 2001-March 2002

Oversaw the receiving and storage of textiles, worked with a team of 5-8 warehouse workers to receive material and pull orders for large distributors like JC Penney and Macy’s, and used the computer systems to manage inventory and workflow.

Managed cash, completed daily reports, stocked convenience store, scheduled and managed small staff. Handled all merchandise including tobacco, alcohol and gasoline.
