oFormer Director and Webmaster of the Mercer Educational Technology Training Center established by the NJ Department of Education. Achievements:

• New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA): Innovative Planning Challenge, $100,000 planning grant award to help the City of Newark become a smart city (Newark Fiber, Digital Kiosks, smart traffic light sensors, and other Internet of Things (IoT). Partners: City of Newark, Invest Newark, NJIT, NJII, and PSE&G.

• Living Cities: City Accelerator Cohort 5: $100,000 grant award to fund Cohort 2 of Invest Newark’s Contractor Developer Initiative (CDI) and the development of an online procurement portal for Newark. Living Cities is a collaboration of the nation’s largest funders.

• Surdna Foundation: $150,000 grant award in 2018-2019 to study the City of Newark’s business ecosystem and to create a procurement portal.

• U.S. Conference of Mayors / Wells Fargo: Community WINS grant for $75,000 to Newark Mayor Ras Baraka with Invest Newark for Community Storefront Program.

• City of Newark Summer Youth Employment: $270,000 in corporate and foundation grants awarded for the Mayor of Newark’s Summer Youth Employment Program (225 jobs funded).
