WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS DIRECTOR, MWD LOGISTICS

As director of warehouse operations for the Atlanta facility I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the branch. These responsibilities include:

2016 - 2019

DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL & GOV’T SALES, ARVEN FREIGHT FORWARDING,

As Director of Sales, I was responsible for:

ALL Over the Road Freight, Final Mile, Government and Warehousing sales team members in the Mid-West, Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States totally a staff of 25 team members.

Cyber – Social Media Marketing Development for all Arven sister companies

Personally dealt with key decision makers in the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Administration.

Helped develop the Arven Brokerage operations which were located in London, KY and expanded its client base from two original clients to over 30 mostly in the automotive, heavy manufacturing, medical equipment and retail industries.

Personally started up Arven Final Mile operations in Washington D.C. / Baltimore areas for several small retail clients and paint manufactures in the Mid – Atlantic

Created training processes for all Arven sales staff which included annual sales training in SPIN selling technique.

As Director of Sales, I was personally responsible for over 10 million in new annual revenue for all Arven branches combined. Most of which dealt with long term contractual business in warehousing, final mile distribution and OTR truckload business both asset and non- asset.

2013 - 2016

NATIONAL SALES DIRECTOR, MILLER FREIGHT

As National Sales Director for Miller Freight and our sister company Miller Freight Lines I was responsible for:

Team of 10 outside account managers located in Georgia and Iowa

Responsible for both B2B sales and marketing including cyber business development and key client focus strategy.

Sales training development of all account managers

Development of U.S. and State government contacts for both warehousing and transportation sales.

Development of Georgia inside sales team for brokerage operations

Working with C-Level and Director level client contacts in the retail, manufacturing, medical and food production industries.

Creation of marketing materials and power point presentations for client contacts

Direct management of over 8 million dollars in annual new revenue for both companies.

As National Sales Director I reported directly to the owners of the company and created numerous productivity and sales analysis reports for them. I also worked closely with the operations team on geographic and core route sales focus to help better our coverage saturation of key areas in the United and Canada.

I directly managed our start up final mile operations at our Savannah Georgia warehouse facility for one core client which we provided regional final mile and cross dock operations for. This facility maintained a staff of 15 warehouse workers and 10 regional drivers which were all direct reports along with three shift supervisors.

2007-2013

DIR. NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – KANE DISTRIBUTION,

I was responsible to creating a start-up division of the Kane Moving company focusing on utilizing existing transportation fleet and warehousing facilities that would focus on traditional and specialized warehousing / final mile services in the Washington D.C. area.

I managed the Kane Distribution sales team comprising of 10 team members in securing commercial, retail and manufacturing contracts with fortune 500 companies in the United States and Canada.

I managed all operations and administrative staff for the distribution unit which included 50 employees with 8 management direct reports who oversaw billing, admin, warehousing and fleet operations for our unit.

I also was responsible for the small brokerage operations which Kane had prior to my starting at the company. I was able to grow it from a small supplemental operation to its Kane Hospitality division to a full whole self-sufficient division dealing in 10 million dollars in annual revenue focusing on truckload services to government and retail industries in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the United States.

I was responsible for creation and implementation of both divisions’ operational procedures and best practices strategies.

In charge of services procurement of transportation, supplies and out-sources services for special projects involving outsourced warehousing and final mile projects in the United States and Canada. Including Ocean and Rail freight coordination on behalf of clients

In charge of procurement activities for logistics management clients. This would include negotiations of transportation, warehousing, ocean and air freight services from third party providers.

Worked with operations team with Kane Hospitality on various construction projects in MD, VA, PA and NJ involving hotel construction and room setups

As operations director I reported directly to the Vice President of Kane operations and the executive board. I provided monthly and quarterly reports on both final mile and brokerage operations and prepared annual budget forecast.

2003 - 2007

NATIONAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER, CON-WAY NOW

While with Con-Way I was responsible for business development and customer growth in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions with focus on Medical Supply, Military, Heavy Industrial and Retail sectors. I dealt primarily with C-level and Director level contacts on long term contracts for transportation and final mile services.

1.I worked with various sister subsidiary companies of Con-Way such as Menlo Logistics, Emery, Con-Way Air and the three sister LTL components CCX, CSE & CWX.

2. I also dealt with client contract and pricing negotiations.

3.Managed regional logistics team on coordination of customer freight via expedite, ocean, rail and air services for both domestic and international shipments

4.Worked with ocean shipping and rail services to leverage best pricing for our clients on various shipping lanes globally.

1996 - 2003

MICHIGAN OPERATIONS MANAGER, PONY EXPRESS

While with Pony Express Delivery Services I oversaw courier and administrative operations for the Michigan and Northern Ohio Branch offices which totaled 8 locations and over 250 pieces of equipment that included vans, straights and semi – trailer.

I was directly responsible for:

Union contract negotiations with Teamsters Union for couriers and warehouse sorters.

Route creation and development for all branch facilities

Equipment purchasing and lease management. Including maintenance and safety reports

Vendor negotiations and accusations

Driver training and development

Communication with clients dealing with branch operational issues and sales assistance when attempting to acquire new business or expansion of existing business

Development of Owner Operator drivers who provided both courier and line haul services for the branch locations.

Creation of monthly operational performance reports. Annual Safety reports and Employee evaluations. These reports were directly given to the Vice President of Operations of the Great Lakes region in Chicago regional headquarters.

Helped with the development of the Thompson National Trucking - Sky Pak agent business that was performed out of the Detroit terminal for international Air Freight mail to Europe and the far east.
