VIETNAMESE HANDWRITTEN TEXT RECOGNITION SYSTEM

Constructed a dataset containing 190,685 samples by aggregating data from competitions and collecting, segmenting and annotating through student academic transcripts.

Researched and trained state-of-the-art text recognition models, such as ABINet, PARSeq, and CLIP4STR with Vietnamese handwritten text data. Built an API for the recognition model using the FastAPI library and designed front-end using React.

Deployed application using Docker.

ENGLISH TO VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE SYSTEM FROM IMAGE

Decomposed the system into sub modules and researched approaches for each module.

Researched, implemented, and trained Transformer Neural Network model for Translate module using TensorFlow library. I used CRAFT for text detection module, TRBA for text recognition module. Prepared data and performed data preprocessing for training progress. Built API for application using FastApi library and designed front-end using Bootstrap.

Deployed application using Docker.

DOG-CAT FACE DETECTION SYSTEM

Researched, implemented, and trained Faster RCNN (backbone- ResNet101) model, YOLO v5 model and YOLO v7 model for Detector module using TensorFlow 2 library.

Constructed a dataset containing 13,779 samples by crawling comments from the YouTube platform and preprocessed the data, including removing emojis and non-Latin characters.

Manually labeled the data and auto labeled it using ChatGPT via the OpenAI API.

Visualized, analyzed, and performed data preprocessing for the training process.

Designed, implemented, and trained LSTM Recurrent Neural Networks for the detector using the Keras library.

Evaluated the model and performed hyperparameter tuning to choose the best model.
