Responsible for the generation of new mechanical designs of machined and injection molding parts such as packaging, rack and panels, housing, piping diagrams, modules, sheet metal, support brackets, rings, casting, machine shop drawings, enclosures, collars, hub roller bearings, and welding. I was also responsible for supporting engineering in research and development (R&D), per NASA standards.

Checker:

I reviewed mechanical-electro design and harness design drawings including assembly, sub-assembly, diagrams, schematic diagrams, interconnection diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable layout, cable connectors, cable brackets, switches, plugs, and panels. I utilized the Bills of Materials (BOM), vendor drawings, and product specifications as references and applied GD&T to Mechanical drawing.

Harness Designs:

Responsible for generating complete electrical wiring harness designs, and associated 2D drawings.

Develop bill of material and process sheet flow diagrams etc. Assist in developing test evaluation & validation of electrical systems & related parts. Analysis of product complaints and countermeasures for vendor quality problems.

Design & develop. of wiring harness includes a selection of components, and arranging the quotes of imported.

parts. Layout, design & development of components & subsystems. Coordination & follow-up with vendors, and related agencies for design development activities. Part of the team is involved in developing customer-oriented products with high quality and efficiency. Responsible for calculating wire bundle, size, and weight. Responsible for supporting the instrumentation department, also responsible for packing design, and developing mechanical and electrical drawings such as assembly’s subassemblies mechanical, schematics, cable, and harness per mill standers.

Worked with fuel systems and closely with customers to provide piping interpretation and instrumentation drawings. Produced total system and installation isometric and 3D drawings. Generated fabrication drawings for the shop, bill of materials entry, contortive design on pipe and light vessels, hose design, special installation, details, and generated control heat element.

As a Designer, I worked closely with the engineers to develop aircraft structural designs including the landing gear for a converted 747 which required a complicated hydraulic system. This system required the conversion of all 3-D modeling into AutoCAD. Using Inventor and AutoCAD 2011 my duties included: Supporting R&D mechanical design layouts for rocket development.
