Quality Engineer – As Quality Engineer I was in charge of overseeing certain customer’s product and making sure product was free of defects. I was also heavily involved in customer audits, Root cause analysis, and Corrective actions.

Contract Review – I was in charge of reviewing customer contracts for requirements, specifications, or special notes that affect product development.

Internal PO Review – I was in charge of reviewing our internal POs to our suppliers. Ensuring the requests met the requirements of the specifications and drawings.

MRB – I was in charge of reviewing and maintaining our MRB program and inventory. Would develop trend analysis for possible recurring nonconformities. Open a corrective action plan and implement PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act)

Customer Audits – I was responsible for hosting and driving customer audits. They included our quality management system or process audits.

AS9102 – Responsible for generating first article inspection reports and setting them up for our quality control team. Generated packages for Customer and Government programs.

Program Manager – As program manager I was responsible for running all aspects of our procedures, processes, manufacturing, Design, R&D, inspection / Quality, assembly and financial planning (Budgeting, Sales, Quoting, Purchasing).

•Quoting/Sales – I was in charge of looking at RFQs from customers. Evaluating designs and processes to give pricing and lead time for our products. Negotiating price and obtaining the best GPM for the company.

•Contract Review – Once a contract was awarded I was responsible for reviewing and, if needed, work out any type of requirements that were not clear from the customer in their contract. I would contact their respective departments based on questions or unclear requirements on the contract. From a financial perspective - to a technical one - as needed.

•Engineering – Review of new drawings provided by customers for manufacturing realization. Made sure that the design and requirements could be achieved depending on our capabilities. For our own internal drawings; I reviewed the drawings for accuracy. I made sure that the intent of the part being manufactured was captured in our drawings by way of views and GD&T to name a couple.

•Research & Development – As my role of Program Manager I was head of our R&D group. I played a major role in the design and the improvement of our product. I worked with a team of Engineers to help our product be more cost efficient while not loosing any of the integrity in which it was meant to function.

•Manufacturing Engineering – As my role of Program Manager I was head of all our manufacturing activities. I help improve and maintain our manufacturing procedures and processes and make any Quality adjustments as needed. I worked very closely with our machine shop to ensure all of our machines: CNCs, Lathes, Hydraulic Presses, Manual Mills are in operational form by keeping up with their maintenance or assist in any type of repairs.

•Quality Engineering – As my role of Program Manager I was the lead Quality Engineer. I would, foremost, make sure that our product met the requirements of our customer’s drawings and specifications. I reviewed every package that would need to be submitted to our customers. I would also submit our quality packages to our major customer, the US Navy and host any type of GSI (Government Source Inspection). If there were any non-conformances I would lead our team in finding the Root Cause of the nonconformance by way of CAPA reports. Different methodologies were used in obtaining the root cause: Fishbone Diagram, Five Whys to name a couple.

Quality Assurance Manager – Maintain and update AS9100 ISO9001 Quality Management System. I am the Management Representative which main function was to interface with customers and suppliers. I hosted Audits from customers and the Department of Defense. I would update procedures and implement new procedures as well. The ideology was to focus on continuous improvement. My effectiveness was to not wait for risks to become nonconformances but place strategies to avoid risks becoming nonconformances. In charge of supporting Quoting and Purchasing department. I would, foremost, make sure that our product met the requirements of our customer’s drawings and specifications. I reviewed every package that would need to be submitted to our customers. I would also submit our quality packages to our major customer, the US Military by way of DCMA DLA and host any type of GSI (Government Source Inspection). If there were any non-conformances I would lead our team in finding the Root Cause of the nonconformance by way of CAPA reports. Quality Control Manager – As head of Quality control I was in charge of making sure that my team would inspect parts in the most effective and time saving manner. I would plan with inspectors on how parts would be inspected when complex components were to be reviewed. I also mentored 5 inspectors due to my extensive knowledge of GD&T conforming to ASME 14.5 2015.

Engineering Manager – As Engineering Manager my role was to review and approve new models generated by our Engineers before submitted to customers for approval. I also reviewed and had the final signature before releasing drawings to the floor or from suppliers.

Quality Specialist A – As the Quality Specialist A I had many duties within the company to assist the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System which we were certified to AS9100, ISO9001 and NADCAP Accredited.

●I set up First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102. Pulling certification traceability on out side processing and Raw Materials. Also added the dimensions required per the drawing with the GD&T for inspection to fill out.

Assistant Quality Assurance Manager - As Assistant Quality Assurance Manager I helped maintain our Quality Management System consisting of: AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001. My responsibility was our continues improvement, by implementing new procedures and Work Instructions for training purposes and to retrain current employees.

Quality Control Manager – As the Quality Control Manager I was responsible to make sure that all units were inspected, either by customer instructions or by our internal procedures. This not only consisted on visual inspection and documentation verification but by physically powering on the unit and testing it. Making sure that all the buttons and features worked correctly.

Inspection - In-process inspection - I verified mechanical dimensions to make sure parts are within drawing tolerance and can be used for production. Final Inspection - Generated Final inspection reports to send to customer, included dimensions tolerances verification, angles and any other measurement that the customer's drawings required.

Quality Assurance Manager - Maintain and improved product quality by investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop efficient ways to process hardware that meets or exceeds our customer's expectations in quality and delivery. Generate quality plans and prepares company for customer, AS9100, ISO 9001 and NADCAP Audits. Was in charge of running planning, Inspection, and Masking departments. Generate Production shop traveler templates for new approved process. I performed Calibration on Dial Calipers and Micrometers by generating a Calibration Report and a certificate for our internal process requirements. Maintained and reviewed Monthly our Approved Supplier List and Supplier ratings to make sure our suppliers where within our Quality Requirement Standards. For on time Delivery and Quality Performance.

Inspection - Inspected incoming hardware by making sure all the parts did not have any damage, missing plating, Anodize, or paint that might be existing. In-process inspection - I verified mechanical dimensions to make sure parts are within drawing tolerance and can be used for production. Final Inspection - Generated Final inspection reports to send to customer, included dimensions tolerances verification, angles and any other measurement that the customer's drawings required. I also worked with a supplier and became very familiar with Dye Penetrant Inspection and was able to witness the testing at their facility. I also did coating testing - Thickness verification, Adhesion testing, Electrical Resistance testing, Visual Inspection of workmanship standards.

Material Specialist - I inspected incoming raw materials from Paint, Primers, BR127 Bonding Primers, CARC

Coatings, Dry Film Lubricants, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Invar, Copper, Beryllium Copper, Brass, Titanium,

Material Plates, Material Waveguide raw materials. I also verified hardware with a finish like Silver Plating,

Copper Plating, Nickel Plating, Gold Plating, Anodize (Phosphoric Acid Anodize, Hard Anodize, Sulphuric Acid Anodize, Dyed or Undyed). Worked with plater closely if there was anything that did not look like it was to standards.

Pacific Wave Systems – 7151 Patterson Drive Garden Grove, CA 92841. From June 2002 - February 2013

3D CAD Design, Drafting / Production Planning – My responsibilities included generating 3D models from customer specifications and requirements for production machining (CNC, Conventional, and EDM) using Pro-E Wildfire, Creo Element, and IDEAS. Generated full Assembly drawings along with part’s list for production that were easy to interpret and understand to ease production process and flow. Experience with Trigonometry in figuring out angles and dimensions using formulas to ease production calculations, held monthly meetings and generated tests to make sure Inspection team had exposure and understood the formulas used. Generated models and drawings for in-house tooling such as dies for the form bending department by Waveguide size and radius required, also angle blocks and custom tooling for waveguide and form bend cut lengths.

Senior Lead Production Planner – Generated shop travelers using internal drawings and per customer specifications and / or Purchase Orders for production of Waveguide and other Microwave Assemblies. Used generated drawings to provide all the components needed for production, process and inspection of hardware. Reviewed all planning and drawings moving out to production for verification and accuracy.

Program Manager - Generated Status Reports for customers: MDA, THALES Alenia Space France, Spain and Italy, Space Systems Loral, Orbital, EADS Astrium (AIRBUS). Held weekly status meetings with customers and gave estimated ship dates of hardware. Worked with customers to meet their delivery goals, quality and pricing.

Worked with production floor, which included, meetings and kick off meetings to meet our customers goals. Generated strategies to help production flow and machining operations for components.

Inspection / Form Layout - Performed Mechanical Inspection of assemblies by using Dial Calipers, Height Gages, Micrometers, Gage Blocks, Angle Blocks and Production Drawings. Verified and generated Inspection Reports to record compliance to Dimensions and Tolerances specified on the production drawing. Forming Layout - Helped the forming Technicians in manufacturing and bending of waveguide tubing to angles and radii specified in production drawings. Helped with Mathematical assistance to figure out cut lengths and distance between one bend and the other.

Machining - Machined small tooling for inspection using Conventional Mill, and Lathe. Also machined vent holes, fixed small components to dimension if out of dimension. Helped CNC Machinist by setting up material in machine and learned how to make simple programs to run CNC.

Shipping and Receiving - Worked with Shipping and Receiving Manager to ensure incoming hardware returned undamaged, verified packaging, shipper, PO, or any other documentation associated with the shipment. Made sure hardware going out to supplier or to customer left without damage and that the hardware was packaged adequately before closing box and stamping Final Stamps for shipment.
