Saved Harsco $900,000 by identifying a company to rebuild a rare 3300 KVA single phase transformer for 10% of the cost of a new one, while reducing delivery time from eight months to two months.

Started a program to standardize all single phase 480 volt main breakers for Grating welders.

Division Maintenance Manager (01/2014-07/2014)

Responsible for plants in China, Mexico, and the United States.

Prioritized maintenance workload of 18 employees while supervising the planning and scheduling of maintenance workloads. Optimized personnel, time, tools, equipment and facilities. Coordinated pm programs. Located new/used mechanical and electrical equipment for several facilities. Ensured compliance with Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) policies and procedures.

Saved Harsco $900,000.00 by identifying a local company that had the ability to take a used transformer container and build a single phase transformer from 130,000 volts to 13,000 volts. This is not a common transformer.

Oversaw capital expenditure project budgets/equipment installation consisting of level and Edger, Whitney plasma and punch CNC machine, wire straighteners, and high voltage transformers with switch gear.

Researched and made recommendations for a new grating welder.

Managed site P&L for a diversified, worldwide industrial manufacturing company serving the world’s largest and most essential industries, including non-residential construction, infrastructure, steel, metals, minerals, energy, and railways. Oversaw 17 direct and 90 indirect reports.

Designed and built easy-to-use safety siding for operators to prevent falling while loading the flat beds with grating.

Purchased a lathe and milling machine to fabricate parts in-house. We were at the mercy of outside people

with different priorities than ours.

Alvin Community College – Alvin, TX 2008-06/2012

Director of Physical Plant - Facilities

Supervised 55 employees and oversaw all new construction, while managing the Environmental, Building Maintenance, Vehicle Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Grounds Departments and their department budgets for both campuses. Vice President of Operations/General Manager/ § Landreth Engineering – Houston & El Paso, TX

Hired to turn around and grow Landreth Engineering to raise its profile for eventual sale. Implemented strategic direction for two facilities while managing 60 employees for a metal extrusion of fastener manufacturer serving the automotive, electrical, and furniture industries and producing up to 5 million fasteners of 36 types daily. Developed a successful preventive maintenance program.

Developed a working relation ship with DeAcero of Monterrey to bring in wire from their plant. which reduced the cost of material by 20 % for Landreth Engineering. And allowed us to reduce our in-house inventory we had to keep when buying from California.

Directed the building of the El Paso facility to provide a major client the wire locking nuts and fasteners for their circuit breakers. This project was retrofitting a building we leased with the electrical requirements needed for the cold heading equipment that we installed. It also required working with the city of El Paso.

Grew the facility in Houston from a two ten-hour shift operation to a 24/7 operation.

Implemented an ISO 9001 program and oversaw process to achieve compliance with city regulations.

Developed schedules for machines to maximize production time and minimize changeover time.

Facilitated the start of a Secondary Operation Department, which expanded the customer base.

Coordinated handling of environmental issues such as waste water and plating chemicals as part of the facility’s safety program; conducted monthly safety meetings for each department.
