Warehouse Manager 2010-2024

Clean Planet Recycling

Responsible for all receiving, warehousing and shipping operations within the warehouse.

Schedule shipping and receiving dates/times with our client’s dispatch team.

Help manage dispatch, assigning drives for all pickups and shipments

Maintain a shipping/receiving board showing all on-site and incoming trailers

Assign trailers to dock and employee for unload/load.

Keep in constant contact with switcher to move trailers in and out of docks

Review all employee unload/load paperwork for accuracy

Tally all unload sheets for management

Make sure all client trailers, before swap, are loaded with supplies needed for the day (gaylords, drums, crates)

Stage loads for outbound shipments

Create loading diagrams based on calculated load capacity and weight distribution for shipments

Create BOL’s for each outbound shipment

Create all shipping documentation for Haz Mat shipment supplying necessary placards

Create necessary paperwork and take pictures needed for Shipping Container loads.

Take shipments to scale to be weighed when necessary

Tracks weights of all items in warehouse and schedule loads when at load capacity

Track and schedule all returns

Assign trailers to baler location

Contact vendors when trailers/roll-off/compactors ready to be swapped

Inspect unloaded trailers and red tag when necessary

Keep track of red tagged trailers and inform maintenance about issues

Make sure trailers are swept out

Calibration of hi-los on a monthly basis

Report hi-lo/machinery/building issues to maintenance

Make sure docks are kept clean

Train and license all Hi-Lo drivers.

Track, Order and distribute supplies as needed

Manage the second level warehouse team to make sure established goals are accomplished.

Initiate, coordinate and enforce operational and personnel policies and procedures, including safety policies.

Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting and training employees.

Deal with all employee’s concerns and disputes, involve HR when necessary

Track employee performance/attendance and if not up to preset standards take required action (Write Ups)

Track and approve employee time off/vacation

Daily reports to top level management.
