Taking care of patients that are completely bed ridden or ones that need just a little assistance with daily activities. After being in healthcare and taking a break for 10 years to raise my family and going back to school for nursing and continuing on for my bachelor’s degree. I was on the honor roll for my Medical Assisting program through Point University. I graduated from Point University in December of 2022. I am currently attending South College in Knoxville, Tennessee but it is all online courses, so I am able to fit it in my schedule whenever.

Prepare and prep meals for patients.
Clean house where needed per the patient.
First aid on wounds or anything skin care that needed to be done.
Assisting with medications as needed and making sure they stick to their schedule of taking the medication.

Prepare and give patient breakfast and lunch.
Empty urinal if needed and bedside commode, take patient to and from restroom.
Change linens of bed and on patient daily and as needed.

I am currently enrolled at this college and at the end of the pre-nursing part and will have one more year and be a Registered Nurse. All courses I am taking are online so I am able to work a job and take care of my children too. It fits my lifestyle very well.

Studied basic Medical Assisting courses and took all my academic courses needed as well.

Attended here my junior and senior year of high school and obtained my State Tested Nursing License at the end of my senior year in 2004.
Awards
In 2001 I received and award known as the KUDOS Award for Clinton County, Ohio. To explain the KUDOS little it is an award for hard work, dedication, and motivation. I had gotten into some trouble at school and gotten put on probation, well I made it my determination to make it all go away. Within 6 months I had completed all community service and complied with all authorities. I even went out of my comfort zone and spoke with some younger children about keeping out of trouble and focusing on school and their future.
I was recognized at a breakfast with all of the authority figures who supported me and the community with the award.
