Utilize a comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures, and operations of the Office of Human Resources to perform a wide variety of analytical assignments in support of execution, tracking, and monitoring the budget, procurement and other functions of the Office.

Ensures that new or revised programs and operations are properly assessed with respect to their impact on Service personnel, programs, and operations. As directed, reviews and prepares comments on and/or comprehensive explanations of current or proposed programs and projects.
Reviews, analyzes, and revises material submitted by Office of Human Resources managers of assigned programs for accuracy of technical treatment and format, mathematical accuracy, adequacy of supporting narrative, and conformance with Secret Service policies and guidelines, recommends necessary changes and revisions.

Served as the principal administrative support position in the Office of Training and provided guidance and direction on general administrative matters to personnel within the two Divisions and eight Branches subordinate to the Assistant Director (AD). Kept abreast of new, revised or amended policies and procedures; advised and instructed personnel on matters such as new directives, policies and procedures; and ensured their timely implementation.
Evaluated office and clerical procedures and made recommendations for the development and implementation of new procedures.
Controlled all correspondence for the AD. Maintained a tickler system on all correspondence. Reviewed all outgoing correspondence for the AD's signature to ensure neatness, accuracy, adherence to established format and conformance with Office of Training and Secret Service policy. Returned inadequate submissions for retyping or recomposing if inconsistent with established procedures or policies. Reviewed file copies of routine Division and Branch correspondence not requiring AD's signature to assure that copies are sent to the appropriate parties, that the file numbers are correct and that backup material and attachments were present.
Participated in staff meetings, noting commitments made an ensuring that they were met. Maintained calendar for the AD and DAD and made appointments as well as travel arrangements when needed. Typed various correspondences in final form for approval. Served as Security Officer for the Office of Training. Supervised lower level administrative personnel and maintained supply and equipment inventory.
Composes correspondence for the AD's signature based on knowledge of office policies and procedures and the AD's views and desires. Typical subjects include administrative matters, general office polices, acceptance of invitations to meeting and conference, etc.
Coordinated the Employee Suggestions Program for the Office of Training. Received suggestions; solicited responses from Division and Branch Chiefs; and composed memorandum containing a summary of comments and a recommendation on the adoption/rejection of the suggestion for the AD's signature.
Established and maintained subject files for the AD containing all pertinent correspondence.
