DEFINITION OF TERMS
This section of the study gives out the definitions
used.
Parents. a father or a mother, an older figure for a
child to look up to and to be taken care of by.
Differently-abled children. disabilities either mental or
physical affects these children throughout all their
life, differentiating them from their peers.
Learning Disability- Is a generalized neurodevelopmental
disorder characterized by significantly impaired
intellectual and adaptive functioning.
Developmental Disability- Is a diverse group of chronic
conditions, comprising mental or physical impairments
that arise before adulthood.
Intellectual Disability- It is defined by an IQ under
seventy, in addition to deficits in two or more adaptive
behavior that affect every day general living.
Challenges. something new and seemingly difficult at
first glance.
Stress. a built up of emotions caused by distress,
confused, or angry mixed together.
Anxiety. an extreme feeling of uneasiness, paranoia and
fear.
Depression. an extreme feeling of loneliness and sadness
for an extended period of time.
Experiences. A state of having has affected by oneself in
life.
Autism spectrum disorder. a mental development disorder
caused by differences in the brain, they often have
problems with social interaction.
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. A behavioral
disorder that inattention and/or
hyperactivity-impulsivity that with affects functioning
or development.
Intellectual Disability. A disability that affects the
functioning in their cognitive function.
Specific learning disorder. A learning disorder that
causes oneself to have difficulty in acquiring and
utilizing academic skills.
Communication Disorders. Affects the speech and language
of a person, this can affect the ability to understand
and use language effectively.
