As a volunteer, I was assigned the position of Clerical Assistant in a Histology Laboratory. I was responsible for organizing blood smear slides along with smear slides of other liquids and fluids. I had to scan the slides to input them into the hospital's data set.

Volunteering at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

I held several roles as a volunteer. First of all, I would greet visitors who entered the hospital and guide them to where they have to go. I would also take visitors anywhere in the hospital if I needed to. I would also discharge patients in wheelchairs and take care where they had to go. I would also make deliveries such as flowers, and hospital supplies around the hospital if needed.

As a volunteer I was responsible for giving patients drinks such as coffee and tea if they wanted to. I was also a Wayfinder in which I guided people around the hospital if they did not know where to go. I made deliveries around the hospitals such as flowers to patients.
