For about six months after hired I worked cases that were 15 to 29 days past due to try and bring them current. I would send letters out and make phone calls and would try to work with the customer as much as I could to bring the account current. Then I was moved to the team of collectors that collected on accounts that were 50 to 69 days past due. I would make phone calls, send out letters, leave messages, and work with customers by offering to accept a payment of 1 1/2 months amount and defer the rest to the end of their loan. If payment arrangements could not be made to get the account current then I would handle filing paperwork to have vehicle repossessed. Worked with different repossession companies to get possession back of vehicles loans defaulted on. If the customer disappeared then I would do a little bit of skip tracing. And then finally I was moved into the skip tracing department. Used different software to locate customer and hopefully vehicle they have disappeared with. Education
