• Promoted to this role to strategically plan the vision and operations for 3 different departments. Manage 40+ salaried leaders and ~3,200 hourly associates.

• Founded this location’s DEI group and serve as the onsite point-of contact for the Northeast region.

• Actively mentor Black, Latino, Native American, Women and Veteran leaders both onsite and in the wider region. Voluntarily hold bi-monthly 1:1 and group meetings across all seniority levels within the organization.

• Successfully helped 7 out of 7 process assistants get promoted at Amazon by ensuring they understood their value and knew how to successfully present themselves for these advanced roles.

• Led the #1 Inbound Volume department in 2020; securing 263MM+ units. Developed the Quality division for this department that was subsequently rolled out to all other onsite departments.

• Delivered a historic Pick, Count, and Floor Health department performance in peak 2021 with 30.8MM units picked (an average of 1.15MM units/day); breaking the fulfillment center network record. Covid-19

• Researched and implemented the strategy to safely bring employees in via thermal imaging scanners. This structure was quickly implemented across the entire Amazon network as well as the Port Authority of NY/NJ where I served as a consultant to help them accurately replicate the entire process.

• Immediately designed and rolled out adjusted workflows during early Covid (Mar-Jun 2020) to deliver escalating volumes with only 38% average attendance.

• Participated in the development of Amazon’s roll-out and deployment of the Covid-19 vaccine to 40K+ associates. Operations Manager, Inbound Subject Matter Expert (2018 – 2020) Staten Island, NY

• Tapped to participate in the launch of Amazon’s largest robotic fulfillment center in the world. Focused on the inbound standard work processes and met or exceeded our operational volume goals of 1.2MM units/week ($34MM in value).

• Oversaw 24 managers and 600+ associates; forecasting our ongoing needs and appraising their performance.

• Successfully developed 12 staff to the next level so they could continue to grow at the company. Continuously exceeded the labor planning system plan by an average of 10% while recording 0 safety incidents.

• Personally authored many standard operating procedures and internal processes to ensure consistently among the leadership and associates with respect to robotics.

• Moved from Inbound to Pick Count/Floor Inventory and delivered a 23% increase in throughput hour, a 30% decrease in SIPS

• 1 of 3 external hires, via the Military Pathways Program, to help launch a brand-new fulfillment center in Edison, NJ.

• This successful launch was the fastest ramp-up in Amazon’s history and was completed in Sep 2017, 1 month before the peak season. This building was recognized as a Top 3 launch in 2018 (out of 15 global launches that year).

• Led and developed a team of 4 area managers, 6 process assistants, and 250 hourly associates; consistently evaluating their performance metrics against inbound productivity requirements to meet or exceed our operational goals.

• Increased our transfer-in-support rate by 40% for inbound volume; saving the company $1.8MM over a 3-month period via process improvements that reduced the amount of indirect labor across 4 shifts. Stryker Corporation, Mahwah, NJ 2015 – 2017

Associate Manager

• Led a prosthetic knee manufacturing team of 88 biomedical and chemical engineers, machinists, and artisans with an annual budget of $10MM. Oversaw 0 lost-time injuries and onboarded 21 new team members.

• Worked on many lean manufacturing projects that improved the quality and productivity of the department. Maintained a 100% service level with 0 backorders and a 27% volume increase.

• Year-over-year, oversaw a 9% productivity increase, captured $1.5MM in cost savings via implemented process improvements, reduced human error non-conformances by 30%, and reduced overtime by 15%. Prestige Industries, Lyndhurst, NJ 2012 – 2015

Director of Operations

• Made a career pivot and leveraged my 20+ years of military operations experience to run 3 linen cleaning and valet service plants that serviced 250 NYC Metro Area hotels with 500+ employees and an annual budget of $5MM.

• Successfully reduced payroll as a percentage of revenue to 36% (-13pts) through process improvement changes that reduced headcount and overtime. Significantly improved the speed and efficiency of our average delivery time (from 11 to 7 hours/day) via optimized routes, GPS, and other tools for our drivers.

• My 28+ years in the military included 12 years in the Marines followed by 16+ years in the Army. • Increased Drill Instructors’ retention by 20% by assigning Noncommissioned Officers (NCOs) to mentor and develop junior NCOs as well as conducting fair and equitable professional development programs and evaluations. First Sergeant (2010 – 2015)

• Assisted the commander to lead, train, and deploy for missions in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Supervised 175 soldiers and operational readiness worth $2.5MM.

• Led a team that supervised 100+ reconstruction projects ($110MM+ value) in Sadr City, Iraq that employed 10K Iraqi citizens. Negotiated with political and non-political actors to establish legitimacy for this city’s local government.

• Co-authored the Regional Local Village Security Initiative, later adopted across Afghanistan. This program was credited with reducing hostile acts within some of the most contested areas in Afghanistan by 50%.

• Led 200+ civil reconnaissance and combat missions that neutralized 5 individuals who were high-value targets.

• Co-wrote a white paper that was utilized and implemented by General Mattis to strategically reduce roadside bombs on heavily targeted key supply routes.
