The HIA Western Development is an infrastructure and utility focused expansion project to increase the operational capacity of HAMAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT to contribute to the servicing of continued growth of the Airport and Qatar Airways, and the Milestone of the FIFA 2022 Football World Cup.
Package HIAEP-0012 work includes (Western Taxiway & Stand Development Works) covers the Western Taxiways, Romeo/Sierra Taxiways connections, Runway Resurfacing works, PCC works North and South Holding Bays, Midfield Tunnel and GSE Bridges, Western Remote Stands, Western Utility Zone, Landside Infrastructure and including Five (5) Victor stands and Substation. Package HIAEP-0017 (Western Fuel Farm and Midfield Fuel Farm Works) contains the construction of the Western Fuel Farm which is a new standalone Fuel Farm that will supply JET A1 Fuel to the new Western Stands and consisting of 6 tanks, each of 15,000m3 capacity and all relevant infrastructures, 4 tanks, each of 9,000m3 capacity and all relevant infrastructures with multiple Tie-in’s to the existing infrastructure of the Fuel Farm. Major Responsibilities include
• Establish Project Management Plan, Project Execution Plan, Project Quality Management Plan and specific Management procedures, Responsibility Matrix, KPI, and Project Deliverables- updates on major changes and seek client’s approval from Project Initiation (mobilization stage and monitored until the handover stage of the project.
• Review and comment on Contractors’ submitted Procedures, Method Statements, ITPs, and checklists and provide recommendations on the supervision consultant’s review by developing Document workflow, which has considerably reduced delays in approvals.
