Implemented PeopleNet integration in commercial vehicle fleet of 75 vehicles. PeopleNet is a computer system that allows transportation companies to communicate with vehicles and provides telemetry data of the fleet. Used data provided by PeopleNet system to increase fleet efficiency (fuel mileage) from 4.85 mpg to 6.16 mpg, an increase of 27%, by regulating speed, idling of vehicles, and training drivers on better fuel management techniques.
Initiated the use of electronic driver logs using the PeopleNet computers. Trained drivers and supervisory staff on use of the PeopleNet system.
Successfully brought Wildwood Logistics into compliance with USDOT regulations and passed subsequent USDOT compliance review. Also completed project to get Wildwood Logistics certified in the USDOT Smartway program.
