REVENUE GENERATION OPERATIONS STRATEGIST COLLABORATION AND ENGAGEMENT EXPERIENCE

Alliance for Chemical Distributors (ACD) April 2007 – July 2023

(formerly, National Association of Chemical Distributors) Vice President, Education and Member Programs (2019 – 2023) Member of senior leadership team providing strategic direction for education and membership initiatives. Directed Responsible Distribution accreditation program; overhauled and directed Emerging Leaders program; launched online university; and developed new non-dues revenue streams. Reported to Chief Operating Officer and Board of Directors. Managed $1.4M annual budget, employees, and contractors.

• System Expansion. Expanded Emerging Leaders certificate program during pandemic to member companies. Developed curriculum, recruited new speakers, and created a hybrid learning model. Grew program > 300% from 8 to 50 students over 3 years, representing $160,000 in additional revenue.

• Mentoring Program. Launched first-ever coaching and mentoring program between CEOs and mid- level leaders. Curated a customized experience including mentoring curriculum guidelines, and structured reporting system.

• Organizational Strategy and Online University. Bolstered environmental health, safety, and security (EHS&S) and sustainability with online ACD University by partnering with affiliate companies to design specialized courses. Resulted in a new category of free webinars that encouraged participants to purchase longer paid training yielding $80,000 in inaugural year.

• Committee Engagement. Re-invigorated education committee by recruiting new executive leadership and committee members; led strategic planning process to create curricula and speakers; and maximized the learning management system. Resulted in cohesive committee that provided course feedback and approval for launch of new educational offerings.

• Global Accreditation. Successfully lobbied the International Chemical Trade Association (ICTA), representing global chemical distributor organizations to create a unified set of EHS&S and Sustainability principles to include European, Asian, and Middle Eastern associations and companies. ICTA voted to adopt and name the program “Global Responsible Distribution.”

• Public Speaking. Presented educational programs and safety training to national and international audiences on topics such as Energy & Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, Tracking Industry Sustainability Efforts, etc. Selected as a featured speaker at the 2022 National Safety Council’s Annual Congress, the world’s largest annual event for safety, health, and environmental professionals with about 15,000 attendees.

Vice President, Responsible Distribution (2014 – 2019) Expanded ACD’s signature EHS&S management program, Responsible Distribution. Served as Secretary General of ICTA. Managed $900K budget, employees, and contractors.

• Program Expansion. Marketed workshops by highlighting practices of excellence of EHS&S and Sustainability to increase employee safety and wellness and prepare for regulatory audits. Increased workshop attendance from less than 50 to 150 plus per workshop.

• Business Planning and Industry Progression. Created two management system codes, a Security Code and a Sustainability Code, increasing credibility and integrity among chemical manufacturers and legislators. Presented members with additional training and resources to ensure the safety and security of their employees, communities, and the environment. Director, Responsible Distribution (2007 – 2014)

Promoted and managed accreditation of members and affiliates. Developed short- and long-term plans as part of the Board’s Strategic Planning Team. Managed $500K budget and contractors.

• Member Engagement. Increased participation of executive and management-level members in educational events. Added regional training with national offerings to expand learning opportunities. Boosted in-person attendance by 23% and grew overall member retention rate to about 98%.

• Accreditation Toolbox. Developed self-assessment tool supporting members to prepare for accreditation. Created online portal and dashboard for members to upload information to assist auditors with site evaluation, resulting in a streamlined accreditation process for both parties. PRIOR EXPERIENCE
