This letter is to present the interests and avenues taken to understand my philosophy and devotion in my career. My overarching belief is in accomplishing the organization’s approach to customer satisfaction through excellent product delivery. In my instances they relate to the Defense and Aerospace industries. A large portion of my career was focused on transitioning traditional audit oversight approaches to the Six Sigma process variability reduction efforts. The overall contracting community was changing during these years from military specifications to the International Standards approach.

Product Assurance Senior Manager - Space Systems Laboratory Operations 2002-2014

Responsibilities: Materials Testing and Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Operations. Laboratories in Sunnyvale, Denver, San Diego, Newtown, Valley Forge, Stennis Operations, Canaveral Operations, Kings Bay, Harlingen, and Pugent Sound. Capital Acquisition of technical capabilities for all above locations, Navy facilities offered some unique research partnering projects. Partnering relationships with NASA, Air Force and Navy were an active focus at several of the above facilities.

Personnel: Approx. 60 engineering, laboratory and NDT personnel. Site operations managed through onsite Managers or Chief positions

Product Assurance Senior Manager - Process Assessment Space Systems 1995-2002

Responsibilities: Conduct of Process Assessments for manufacturing, test and facilities reviews for procedure compliance and ISO audit preparation reviews. All Programs, all sites, some programs approached as an audit function, some process improvement infusion. Internal and customer reporting and debriefing. Certified Black Belt in Six Sigma achieved.

Personnel: 10-12 headcount dedicated, 10-20 area assigned personnel

Mission Success Audit Chief/Manager - Titan Programs, Space Launch Systems company 1985-1995

Responsibilities: Direct Customer Funded audit function of all aspects from design, manufacturing, test, launch operations of Martin Marietta Core vehicles and integration activities. Major Element Contractor Audits of General Dynamics, Chemical Systems Division of United Technologies Corp, Hercules/Alliant, AC Delco, MacDonald Douglas Aerospace and Aerojet Tech Systems. Audit teams as large as 40 auditors from many disciplines, including AF and SPO personnel.

Internal / Mission Success Audit - Auditor /Lead internal audit multiple disciplines, Titan program audits Titan II weapons systems, Peacekeeper/MX Emplacer deployment, Minuteman program reviews

1978-1985. Peacekeeper FTM5 Principal Investigator, 34D7 & 45D9 Lead Auditor, Little Rock Incident Investigator, Mechanical engineer support Titan II Silo Operations closedown.

Education Graduated Arizona State University 1978; Triple Major: Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering. Bachelor of Science, Dean’s List Designation.
