• Machine operator for Marel lines 101 and 102. As a Marel line operator the duties and responsibilities were to follow F.I.F.O guidelines and ensure the right cuts of meat were being processed and put on the Marel lines. Also, keeping the laborers motivated and keep the conveyors full of meat for the trimmers to process.

• Machine operator for Curruthers dicers.

Responsibilities and duties for this position required the right raw materials were being processed up to specifications

and that we would hit our production goals for each hour to keep the production goal set for the shift. Operating the dicers required constant monitoring of the x-ray and dicers to ensure we meet required specifications and x-ray logs were being met at all times.

• Machine operator for high pressure vacuum tumblers. The responsibilities and duties for operating this equipment was to follow specifications per the recipe. The meat and ingredients were mixed at certain ratios using formulas developed by research and development. This required precise math skills and knowing how weight finished product and ingredients.

• Crown reach truck operator. The responsibilities and duties of this position required using a r.f.i.d scanner to move

both raw materials and finished product into locations and ensuring everything had a location scanned in so everything could be located in the inventory system.

• Trim department shift lead. The responsibilities and duties of the trim lead was ensure each cut of meat was being trimmed properly and without much waste from trimming fat and nerves. Keeping the trimmers motivated and making sure the trimmers are hitting the proper pounds per hour. The trim department had 13 - 15 specific cuts the trimmers need to know and process up to specifications. Keeping the Marel line in working order. Doing a walk through when the Marel lines are turned on to make sure all conveyor belts and gateways are working correctly before use. Ensure the right information and pounds of product are being correctly

printed on labels. Working with the operators of the Marel lines and making sure they are trained properly and are effective in there job requirements. Ensuring that all trimmers are safely trimming and following U.S.D.A regulations and that safety is the primary goal of the department.

• Raw preparation shift lead. This position required that the dicers, tumblers, and slitter operators were all within specifications and that production pounds were being met. The equipment is fully functional and X- rays were detecting for metal and bone by passing x-ray cards through the x-rays every 30 minutes and having the operators sign off on x-ray detection logs. Report any issues to the supervisor or call maintenance when machines would go down.

•Production supervisor for trim and raw preparation. As a supervisor for 2 departments the responsibilities and duties were to take care of the union employees. This could be getting new p.p.e for employees, resolving issue's and grievances before H.R is involved. Ensuring all paperwork from leads and operators are accurate, precise, and truthful. Keeping the union employees accountable and productive by making sure the employees are working at a acceptable pace. Team building and leadership is a strong point for me and I believe that investing in employees through training and conversation can greatly improve employees morale. Keeping production goals up and being ready for the next step in the production process. My number priority was Keeping the employees safe. At Ed Miniat, the plant

involved many knives and spinning blades so all employees needed to be safe and pay attention to the job tasked to them. All U.S.D.A rules and regulations were being met. Doing walk throughs with the U.S.D.A inspectors and ensuring the department is up to code. Using communication and understanding with union employees before writing discipline actions with the employees. Working with the union representatives during discipline meetings and actions. Being consistently fair with all employees and treating them equally. Being in a leadership position requires fairness and keeping employees motivated in a positive manner. My leadership requires working with employees and keep them trained to reduce production issues and complications. As a supervisor of the trim and raw preparation departments I would solve production issues and keep

production on schedule. Working with multiple departments to ensure production continues to flow in a positive manner.
