Pressroom Process Lead – 2007-present
Lead person for the Pressroom in Process / Continuous Improvement, Team Management, Quality Assurance, Training and Development, Problem Solving / Troubleshooting, and Performance Monitoring and Reporting. Lead person in charge of New Technology and Materials. Worked daily with our maintenance dept. on parts inventory (MP2, Limble and MVPONE), completed work orders, and TPM schedules. Worked closely with maintenance on large machine installation projects.
Assistant Superintendent Pressroom – 1998-2007
Key leadership responsibilities across all functional areas of the Web Pressroom with a focus on performance management, intra-department communications, production efficiencies, and employee attendance. In charge of scheduling, manning and hiring. Lead person for our Pressroom Safety Committee and Environmental Issues.
New press committee member which included trips to France to look at our current folder on our Goss Sunday 2000 press and to Germany to investigate a Manroland Lithoman press. I went through a week of training in Dover, Connecticut for our Goss Sunday 2000 press with auto-plate.
In charge of our Sheetfed Dept. which includes a 6 unit Heidelberg Speedmaster with perfecting unit and a 40” 6 unit Komori Lithrone.

Oversee full operation and maintenance of Harris M-1000 B. The press prints weekly magazines such as People, Time, and Sports Illustrated and catalogs including Macy’s and Robinson’s May. Responsibilities include maintaining high quality of the product as well as high run rates and low waste; all customer color OK’s; training and development of 5-person crew; participation in pressroom related teams, focus groups and projects.

Press Manager – 1987-1996
Oversaw full operation and maintenance of Harris M-110 with complete in-line finishing system. Responsibilities included thorough knowledge of: re-moist glue heads, wet flap gluer, silicone applicators, plow stations, ribbon shifting unit, combination folder, perforating unit, rotary cutter, and table delivery and other in-line finishing components. We produced many different types of order-forms, business reply cards, gatefolds and other direct mail related products.
