Roles & Responsibilities
HR/Employee Services/Payroll Administration
Receiving employee enquiries and responding to or resolving complaints from branches, attending to all branch needs (cleaning, stationery and others) and forwarding inquiries to appropriate departments.
Answers frequently asked questions from employees relating to policies, benefits, condition of service, etc
Interpreting company policies and driving the correct, unbiased and consistent implementation across the group
Periodic visit to branches (Owerri, Port Harcourt, Asaba and Awka and Ebonyi) to carry out checks on staff/branch activities to ensures they are meeting up with the company’s policies on cleanliness and code of conduct as outlined
Ensuring the confidentiality and security of HR/Admin. matters and documents.
Writing internal memos and also creating holiday memos for every holidays
Drafting queries, warning and other disciplinary measures for staff who have erred and ensuring that appropriate sanction as per the company’s policy is meted to them
Support senior and middle managers for HR requests
Coordinate the delivery of relevant training & development plans and courses for staff
Drive on-boarding process for new employees
Manage employee exit process
Implement the approved Manpower Plan group wide, to prevent over staffing and ensure adequate manpower especially to key positions, while managing succession for key positions
Manage communication to employees
Ensuring that new employees are enrolled into the company’s Pension and HMO schemes and managing same
Liaising with HMO company to ensure sick employees receive healthcare on time
Liaising with Pension companies to ensure new employees are registered and PEN numbers issues
Manage the employee side of change, to ensure success and delivery of the objectives set by management
Lead new branch opening
Liaises with Finance department on budget implementation (weekly spending)
Recruitment & Selection
Collating and reviewing CVs (post advert / unsolicited) and shortlisting eligible candidates for the position
Schedule assessment or interview for shortlisted candidates, in liaison with the requesting HOD
Payroll Administration
Collating, vetting and processing all locations payroll input,
Reviewing with internal audit department before forwarding to appropriate departments for final review and payment.
Collate and ensure the resolution of all payroll complaints after salary payment, every month
HR Reporting
Compiling weekly/monthly reports from branches, following up and ensuring that recommendations / issues raised are well attended to
Manage employee data and provide for Management referencing as required
Service Contractor Management & Support
Collating monthly invoices from Contractors, vetting and forwarding for payment
