Data Conversion Operator

In my role within e-publishing, I specialized in managing Medical Books & Journals for clients across various continents. The process involved receiving documents in Word format, which were then converted into XML files using specific tools. These tools enabled parsing errors and required meticulous correction.

Utilizing dedicated software, we initiated the conversion process by uploading the Word document file with the correct file name, allowing the tool to compile from DTD version to generating the XML tags. Subsequently, error parsing was conducted, necessitating precise correction through the entry of accurate HTML tags. Checks were made for Title names, paragraph alignment, Entities, Heading format, size, and ensuring completeness in references and further reading sections.

The meticulous quality check involved rectifying errors by inputting the exact HTML tags, entities, size, alignment, and ensuring zero errors. Once error-free, the file was saved into a designated folder, ready for the 3B2 and Graphics team to insert figures and illustrations.

As a Coordinator, I played a pivotal role in overseeing comprehensive data entry tasks while managing the operational aspects of an institute. Additionally, I conducted computer classes for students, imparting essential skills in technology.
