WORK EXPERIENCE

November, 2021 to date: National Identification Authority.

TECHNICAL SOPPORT OFFICER:

Responsibilities:

Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, licenses and applications;

Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;

Troubleshooting system and network problems either in person or remotely, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults;

Replacing mobile registration workstation, printer and printer server parts as required;

Managing multiple cases and requests at one time;

Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues;

Supporting the roll-out, implementation, testing and evaluation of new technology and applications;

Assisting with the implementation of technical policy on the online presence, design, integration, content management, maintenance support of websites and intranet;

Conducting networks and electrical safety checks on computer equipment;

Providing daily, weekly, monthly and regular reports including procedural documentation and relevant reports;

Escalating unresolved issues and faults to the Technology and Biometrics Department;

Capturing onto the enrolment system, the personal information of applicants as recorded on the Registration Application Form;

Capturing the biometric information such as the fingerprints, irises and pictures of applicants using a Mobile Registration Workstation (MRW);

Ensuring the accurate capture of data input(s) received from the Assistant Registration Officer(s);

Managing the printer and print server to ascertain the status of National Identity cards in print;

Printing and issuing National identity cards to applicants;

Printing, sorting, shipping and issuance of National ID cards in backlog to designated District Registration offices;

Assisting in the conduct of training and orientation for the Assistant Technical Enrolment Officers (ATEOs);

Performing any other duties that would be assigned by the Executive Secretary or the Regional Registration Officer from time to time.

December, 2019 to September, 2020: National Identification Authority, Mass Registration Exercise

MOBILE REGISTRATION WORKSTATION OPERATOR:

Responsibilities:

Arrive at the Registration Centre one hour before the commencement of registration to assist the Registration Officer to set up the Registration Centre

Undertake the “PING” Process to identify a suitable and convenient electricity and data connectivity point(s) to setup the Mobile Registration Workstation (MRW) for registration of applicants – in consonance with data connectivity, electricity and operational logistics report

Collect completed National Identity Card Application Form (Application Form) from the applicant and enter the data/information on the Form into the computer

Scan the captured Application Form and attach it to the Applicant’s data file

Scan all identity documents presented by an applicant for the purpose of registration and attach them to the applicant’s data file

Take Applicant’s 10 fingerprints using the fingerprint scanner on the Mobile Registration Workstation

Take Applicant’s photograph and 2 irises using a digital camera and iris scanner on the Mobile Registration Workstation

Take Applicant’s signature using a digital signature scanner/pad on the Mobile Registration Workstation

Forward the Applicant’s captured data to the National Register for de-duplication exercise to be carried out to confirm the Applicant’s exclusive entry onto the National Register

Issue Applicant with a printed receipt of captured registration details and request Applicant to check and confirm the accuracy or otherwise of the data printed on the receipt

Correct the data in case of errors, mistakes or inconsistencies on the Applicant Form as prompted by the Applicant

Inform the Applicant to sign the printed receipt to confirm the accuracy of the data on the receipt

Issue command for printing of Applicant’s Ghana Card

Direct the Applicant to Card Verification Officer (CVO) to collect his/her Ghana Card

Account for and hand over registration materials and equipment used for the registration of Applicants daily, and at end of registration period to the Registration Officer for custody

Ensure the safety, security and handling of the registration materials and equipment assigned to the Registration Centre

Ensure that registrations materials, equipment and logistics are in good condition for the next day’s registration exercise

Assist the Registration Officials to tidy up the registration Centre after close of work each day; and

Handle any other duties that may be assigned by Executive Secretary or his representative through Supervising Officials and the Registration Officer
