As the main night cook, it was my responsibility to clean, stock, and prep the kitchen every night so that the morning ladies were ready to start first thing. I cleaned the grill, changed out the fryers nightly, cleaned and restocked the cold bar, and did all of the kitchen dishes. I had to memorize the menu as well as how long everything took to cook and keep that information in my head at all times. Cooking by myself, I had to multitask on every shift and use critical thinking in order to keep the kitchen running smoothly. I had to think ahead and properly prepare for the next night as well as days depending on upcoming events.

The shop specializes in spraying bedliner onto trucks. I would tape and sand down the trucks to prepare them to get sprayed. We had to pay attention to tiny details in order to not damage the vehicles that we worked on.

I prepared ribs, chicken, and brisket to be smoked, as well prepared beans, potato salad, and mac-n-cheese for the line on busy days that I came in early for. Nightly, I served portions of that food that was kept on a hot bar and in warmers in a fast paced environment. It was important to keep critically thinking about the time and amount of food being served in order to communicate to the rest of the line; that I may or may not need more food.

Fill out and understand paperwork involving transporting of products.

Use computers with Google and Microsoft Office to log inventory.

Operate a forklift to load and unload materials.
