Responsibilities

The Role: The PPQ focal is responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of new product launches, work transfers, and process changes to existing products. The focal will lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) efforts across Spirits’ supply chain. The focal will provide technical expertise to company employees, suppliers, customers, and regulatory education and coaching on the Quality System. Key Accountabilities:

1. Provide Suppliers with APQP/PPAP guidance which could include the facilitation and compilation of tools such as (but not limited to): 1. Process Flow

2. Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)

3. Control Plan

4. Statistical Process Control (SPC)

5. Measurement System Analysis (MSA)

6. First Article Inspection (FAI).

2. Develop timelines for APQP projects and ensure successful adherence to the schedule 3. Interface with a cross-functional team which could include Spirit Internal teams as well as Spirit Customers

4. Prepare a monthly summary of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the APQP/PPAP process

5. Continuously improve the APQP/PPAP process through enhancements of process and procedures

Additional Activities may include:

1. Ensure that suppliers’ manufacturing, quality system, special processes, and products meet purchase contract requirements, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory agency and government regulations.

Customer Quality

Provide a single point of contact for customers related to quality concerns.

Lead effective 8D problem resolution process supporting timely turnaround/containment of quality issues and ensuring corrective actions are effective, permanent, and irreversible in nature.

Monitor/track customer satisfaction indices via regular visits, surveys, etc. to identify opportunities for the development of potential corrective actions.
