Established Director Risk Management, Patient Safety Officer, and Patient Advocate for Critical Access Hospital, 18 physician practices, Occupational Health Services and Urgent Care in northeastern Indiana, rural location. Prior to hire, this position was not developed or recognized.

Initial onboarding developed Risk Management and Patient Safety Organization Plan submitted to Administration and Board, accepted, and approved. Annual detailed report to BOD including all aspects of risk oversight. Participate in CMCH Leadership Daily Safety Huddles. Continued implementation of Risk Patient Safety Plan through education house wide to all staff on Event Reporting Culture of Safety and initiated Patient Safety Champion program with front line employees from each department. Participated development and administration of Drug Diversion Committee, policy development and implementation. Administered Culture of Patient Safety Survey campaign and kick off, follow up with department leaders with results, assisted each developing Corrective Action Plans. Developed and initiated Patient Safety Awareness Program – campaign included poster board from departments on display in main lobby. Developed Falls Safety Program, campaign each September with Falls Awareness agreement, decorative display in main lobby.

Coordination of timely event review and follow up by each director through weekly Event Review Meeting with Hospital and CMG leadership.
