Responsible for Port Business Development with Liner and Breakbulk Carriers, major commodity sectors metals, aluminum, steel, coffee importers, agricultural exporters, chemical, resin and plastic accounts. Attend Trade and Commodity events to promote new business for the Port and New Orleans Stevedores/Lines.

Achievements:

Strengthened position in Coffee Import Business through advocacy and support of global coffee import customers in the Northeast. Initiated joint marketing agreement signed in 2017 with CORBA - Central Ohio River Business Association, leading to increased Export and Import container and Breakbulk Commodities Tonnage via Mississippi River Barge and Rail.

Planned and presented a new container service option to CMA CGM by modifying earlier CMA - Gulf Bridge service to add a loop to New Orleans; thereby opening up a transshipment of ASIA cargo. This lead to the larger PEX 3 direct Import Call to New Orleans via CMA CGM. The ports marketing team jointly closed the PEX 3 deal which is the largest Asia Service in the Port. Steel and Aluminum association and importer representation advocate for 10 years in my sales Role. These are the Largest Breakbulk commodities in the Port.

Development of new sales staff and global expert role on container trades for the Sales Marketing team. Initiated paper volumes with FMS Accounts and expanded TPEB Gemini NY relationship on Retail opportunities for the Port.

HAPAG LLOYD (AMERICA)

Managed staff of 40 employees; responsible for northeast revenue budget of $200,000,000 / 350,000 containers, which included direct executive representation (negotiated contract rates and service terms) with major clients; direct contract signatory party outside of the Area SVP; transitioned sales team in connection with 2005 integration of CP Ships with Hapag Lloyd during merger.

Achievements:

Successful planning strategy of export/import volume and revenue budget by sling/subtrade resulting in 37% volume increase from 2002 to 2005, further 12% growth achieved in 2007 for combined HL/CP organization.

Revenue improvement of $225 per TEU from 2006 through Q1 2007.

Expanded TPEB account base. Area East division accomplished second best overall revenue contribution within company.

Increased reefer liftings by 18% while negotiating increases on major commodity groups.

ISO audit compliance of 100% met in 2004 / 2006 (NJ) / 1999 / 2001 (Seattle).

Redesigned sales structure, budget and trend reporting in 2005 (during CP integration).

Managed staff of 20 employees at port office of Hapag Lloyd in Seattle, Washington. Responsible for implementation of a restructuring plan to reorganize the Seattle / Portland offices to increase revenue/volume in the Pacific Northwest.
